We went through Bemidji on our way to Duluth (last weekend), not Minneapolis.

Al Pearson has a fan bus/party bus going to St. Paul for the FInal Five. A friend and I took his fan bus to Duluth and had a great time. Jello shots were passed around within the first hour and the keg was empty by the time we got to Bemidji. Al books a block of rooms for the group and has tickets if you need them. For Hockey Weekend Across America, College Hockey Inc. picked the 'best' player from 40+ states and the District of Columbia. Lamoureux gets the nod for NoDak, while Panzarella gets the nod for Washington D.C. A non-Gopher player for Minnesota was a bit of a surprise, but the player picked is deserving.

A couple more tidbits from Schlossman on Brendan Lemieux: Yes, a lot can change over the next two years, but the fact that he isn't playing for NTDP (as Miller, Matteau and others had) and that he will be in Green Bay will a fellow Sioux recruit might help our cause. Schlossman told Lemieux that Sioux fans would be on edge until he actually arrived on campus.

Today, more tickets were released. Check Ticketmaster

My friend called Xcel Energy Center. Thankfully the seats we had last year were still available so everything was reset and they will be mailing the correct tickets. The person at Xcel was apologetic and didn't know how it happened. The tickets they gave us weren't terrible (lower bowl, row 15), but we really like our original seats.

Some friends and I renewed our Final Five tickets in November so that we could keep the seats we had last year. Today, the tickets arrived and we found out that the Xcel Energy Center decided to give us different seats. Needless to say, we are not happy. Has this happened to anyone else?

Last night Evan Trupp scored a lacross style goal from behind the net. Video is on the Puck Daddy Yahoo blog. I would link it, but am on my phone.

Just got back to the hotel from AmsOil. Going into the weekend Duluth really scared me. I must say that I was not terribly impressed with them. They were great on the pp tonight, but I thought the Sioux were definitely the better team 5-on-5. I agree with the person who said if you take out Blood's major, the Sioux probably win (not blaming the refs for the loss). Sioux nearly completed the rally as Duluth barely held on. Sioux need to continue to play with that kind of intensity. Eids played great in relief, and it seemed like Parks and Lamoureux were on the ice all the time. Also thought Mattson played really well.

And more penalties for the Sioux. Ugh!

AmsOil only shows replays of Duluth goals and highlights. Lame!

Would be nice if we could stay out of the penalty box. And now a 5-min major.

They also played Chelsea Dagger right after we scored. Very nice indeed.

Duluth playing much better tonight and very physical. Sioux must play a full 60 tonight.

Black jerseys again

I'm at the game. Mattson was shoved hard and fell face first into the board. Obviously it happened quick, but it looked like his head snapped back a bit. He had trouble getting up, maybe a bit woozy.
