  1. Friday: Kozek Saturday: Duncan
  2. He isn't the most valuable on his team--Nathan and Morneau are more valuable. Top 5?? Please! Top 5 catcher--yes, top 5 in the whole league is laughable.
  3. Well, don't you think you're all that and a bag of chips. And no NAs have ever thanked me for the chronic use/abuse of my tax dollars to subsidize their living or thanked me for giving them free medical care...oh, but I forgot, they are entitled to all that. My bad!! Your constant use of the victimization card is truly pathetic!
  4. Not disagreeing with anything here, but personally I want to see the skilled players skate and I would like to see a more free flowing game which has not been the case for years in the WCHA. Anything will be better than what I've watched over the past few years. If you don't think you'll like the changes, don't watch--whether that be NHL or WCHA.
  5. Versus paying $$$ to watch the likes of Oshie, Toews and Parise get mugged night in and night out. The players will adjust. The last few years in the WCHA has been nothing short of embarassing as to the way the game has been officiated.
  6. So what do you call it when "leaders", with a certain agenda, try to sway the thought process of their own people towards that agenda, especially when the majority of their own people don't agree with the agenda?
  7. Why is that? Because we disagree and you know I'm right in the fact that not ALL NAs agree with you and Ronnie on this issue? Ronnie and the other "tribal leaders" are the ND NA version of Sharpton and Jackson to the black community in this country. Does the word enablers strike a nerve??
  8. You're right, those attending from the res will be those who aren't being brainwashed by tribal "leaders" and actually feel the REA and UND are doing the right thing here. Now we all know where your stance is on this situation, but frankly your stance and the one of Ronnie Horse Is Thunder is not what everyone on the res feels or agrees with.
  9. Neither did I, but sadly probably neither do many NAs on the reservations, especially the youth.
  10. Exactly. At that stage in the game, you need Mauer to try to find a gap for a double and score on a hit from Morneau. Mauer is my Carson Palmer of the MLB. Lots of talent but little substance, especially when it counts or matters. How many "average" MLB players drive in 80+ runs?
  11. Morneau ended the season on a 10 for 58 tailspin at the plate. And Mauer BUNTING in the 7th!! Mauer is without a doubt one of the most overhyped Minny athletes of all-time. I know he bats for average, but he set a career high in RBI's this year with 85 I believe. Pathetic production for a catcher in the 3 hole. The White Sox hit 120+ more homers than the Twins this season and what ended the Twins season?
  12. Morneau has really been struggling the last couple weeks. If he gets a big hit with runners in scoring position tonight, I like the Twins chances. Blackburn should be solid on the mound.
  13. That is what you Gopher "homers" said when NDSU came to town in '06 and '07. Keep drinking the Brewster kool-aid! By the way, get back to me after this weekend. If you stay within 4 TDs of the Buckeyes, you'll have a moral victory!
  14. Watched the 2nd half on TV as it was televised in Fargo. Bad QB play and the inability to stop the run makes any team, even if you are rated #2 in the nation, beatable every week. YSU isn't very good, but right now neither is NDSU. Those are both middle of the pack teams in the MVC unless they both improve in alot of areas.
  15. This game will be closer than most think...UND 55-0!

    UW-L vs UND

Can we, as a D1 football program, PLEASE stop having our freshman "wave" the white towels to incite the crowd! That was old when Dale was here and not really a "tradition" I think we need to continue. Looks high school-ish really. Was a fun game to watch yesterday though.
  17. That is what I hope is the case for most of the Ed-Op pieces I read in the Forum, but sadly the needle on the Stupidity guage is almost always pointed towards "Full"!
  18. Finally a voice of reason! I guess everyone has a drum to beat...
  19. 2 D1 FB teams played on Sat. One a 2-time national champ and current national champ, the other is a current national champ as well. LSU crushed App. St. Expected ..yes. But again not all D1 FB is D1 FB.
  20. Was thinking the same thing. Going to unload my stock the Pabst Brewing Co. (which makes Blatz Beer) prior to the name change!
  21. Suprised that UC-Davis game didn't have a bigger number. Remember that game being packed. By far the loudest game at the Alerus that I can remember.
  22. As was I. The student section was packed and loud! Overall a great atmosphere for the Alerus. Hope the team gets 10000+ for their rest of their home games.

    Tonight's Game

Good win to start the D1 transition. The one thing my buddy and I commented on was the "eye test". You know how some teams run out of the tunnel and they pass the "eye test". This has to be one of the smallest overall teams I've seen UND put on the field in years. From lineman to linebackers. I went with some friends last year to see NDSU and Sam Houston St. When those teams came out, they passed the "eye test": Both big/lean and on the field they were tough and fast. Our guys played with a lot of toughness last night, but we also didn't show a lot of speed overall. Great crowd and good win. We had a blast.
  24. 30-21 UND
  25. Looking forward to going to the game tonight and the upcoming season. Upward and onward into D1. Hopefully UND can have the success that our rival to the south has had during their transition because the blueprint on how to make that transition was laid out well by SU.
