  1. This story looks familiar......it's only a matter of time before the PC zealots make them change too. Oh I guess they missed the fact again about the honor part!?!? http://www.theblaze.com/stories/2013/10/11/do-you-know-the-history-behind-the-name-washington-redskins/
  2. Guy working at the liquor store in the cities saw my Sioux hat and said he wishes the gophers would have had a logo like that(Sioux logo). He then said UND should pull a page from Prince Just have a symbol and call UND "the team formally known as the Sioux".
  3. My wife and I are planning on making it.
  4. Have seen this post for quite a few years and this may be my first opportunity to attend. Would love to hang out with fellow Sioux fans. Just got married and moved to the cites. My wife was living in Shoreview so just a stones throw away. Even though she is a rodent fan it is only a matter of time before she dons the Sioux jersey

This is what we are going to end up with.....something completely unimaginative and boring. Prepare yourselves. You can only capture the magic in a bottle ONCE.
  6. Fetch....nice touch with the upside down Sioux flag. For those of you that are not sure what this means.... it is a signal of dire distress. GO SIOUX!!!!
  7. Does anyone know of a eps(encapsulated post script) attachment they could email me of the old 'S' shoulder patch. I am looking at doing a laser etching project and they need it in this format. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  8. Does anyone know where I can get my hands on one or two of the old "S" TOMAHAWK PATCHES that the Sioux used to wear on their shoulders similar to the Blackhawks?
  9. Link to let people in Bismarck know how you feel about keeping Fighting Sioux logo and name. http://sayanythingblog.com/entry/take-action-tell-the-senate-education-committee-to-keep-the-fighting-sioux-nickname/
  10. Here is a link to let the folks in Bismarck know your thoughts about keeping name and logo http://sayanythingblog.com/entry/take-action-tell-the-senate-education-committee-to-keep-the-fighting-sioux-nickname/
  11. Hello everyone. This week discussion will be held in Bismarck on new bills to save the UND Fighting Sioux name and logo. For those of us that cannot be there in person I have attached a link provided by Rob Port to get your message of support regarding keeping the name and logo. Please pass this along to as many people as you can so our voices can be heard loud and clear in Bismarck. Thank you. http://sayanythingblog.com/entry/take-action-cut-your-taxes-save-the-sioux-nickname-and-promote-government-transparency/?utm_source=Say+Anything+Email+List&utm_campaign=3f5fbe21de-Welcome12_21_2010&utm_medium=email Todd Seguin President F/M Sioux Boosters
  12. I was living in Atlanta in 2000 and I saw a Sioux hockey jersey hanging in a sports store in a mall where I lived. I was surprised to see it so I went in to look at it. While I was looking at it an individual came up to me and started asking me questions about the logo and jersey. That individual was Native American and we stood there and talked for about a half hour. He told me about himself and his tribe and I told him all about the history of UND regarding programs we had and about the name and logo. After that encounter I have always wondered why that type of a connection couldn't be made on a larger level with the name and logo. The only thing I ever hear is the negative angle.
  13. I think that is outstanding! I wish there could be more visits like that to the REA and campus to see for themselves how the name and logo are represented.
  14. There are a few people coming from Fargo and wondering where are good places to stay and also if there are any pre-game gatherings. I checked with UND and they have nothing planned.
