Hak was pleased with probably the effort to date, but performance? Really? Again this team has been bad defensively and they can't score/finish. And I'll agree wtih a previous post about Martens--where was he this past Sat.? I can think of two guys that Trupp rolls with that have done pretty much nothing so far!
-
Exactly. Less than average goaltending, overall poor defense and the inability to finish scoring chances so far is why this team is 2-4. It's not a fluke. Right now they aren't very good. Friday was hands down their best game of the year so far and they still needed a 2 goal rally in the 3rd to pull that out. Looking at their schedule though, I still think they have a shot to get to or above .500 by the Christams break.

Hadn't seen any games UND had played so far this year, but I can say that from the top of the line-up to the bottom, that was about as good of game as far as energy, jump, effort and hard work that I've seen from a Coach H team play! Win, lose or draw, I can live with whatever (to an extent) the outcome of a game if I see that kind of effort from every guy on the ice night in and night out. Zajac looks like a totally different player from last year! Trupp is the real deal. Watkins hard work is like few I've seen in a Sioux sweater. All 4 lines looked good and contributed. Genoway has to remeber that he is a D-man 1st! LaPointe...I just still don't see it. Great effort and good win! Looking forward to tonights game.

Heard on the radio this AM that there were 80,000+ foreclosures nationwide in Sept with 200,000+ default payments letters sent as well. Living outside your means have anything to do with this??

I figured out where our friend Jeff Dubay has been

Well if you are "priveleged" and/or "fortunate" from a financial standpoint (as some on this site see it), you can buy the 'blow' in it's powedered form. Much easier to use. Bottom line is he'll get his job back as he has an "illness" and will be absolved from accountablility as he will be from foreclosing on his house to pay for the coke! -
Bingo! There is no other "talking head" on any TV channel that is less/miss informed than Eddie. I can't stand Obermann, but he at least has somewhat of a clue as to what he is taliking about.
-
Eddie was a Bison fan/supporter, then he was a Sioux fan/supporter. He was once a Republican, but is now a Democrat. No one is a bigger fan of Eddie than Eddie and no one has more self serving interests than Eddie. Eddie is all about Eddie all the time.

You are probably right that "most" is a stretch. But that number of irresponsible people is growing at a rapid rate in this country as is evidence by the 700 billion dollars it is going to take to help clean up this mess!

There is plenty of blame to go around on this issue, but when did it become financially responsible to by a $400k home when you have a family income of less than $100K? Too many people looked at the housing market as buying futures in the stock market. Will buy more than we can afford, with little money invested, wait for the property to increase in value then we'll make money/equity. You feel bad for those who had to forclose on their homes, but common sense went by the wayside in too many situations during the housing boom/bust.

Haha! Good one. My patient encounters start a 1 pm today and I DON'T run late. My patient's time is as valuable as mine!
-
Very well stated and exactly on point!
-
Holier than thou? No, I just don't agree with the concept of socialism and the philospohy of what mine is mine and what is yours is mine plus throw in this spreading mentality of entitlement. And it is this entitlement mentality that has part of the equation in the haves and have nots disparity. Why try to better yourself when someone else can do that for you and by the way, I DESERVE it! Obama will more than likely win and I'll pay more in taxes and the beat will go on. Everything is what it is DaveK. You just need to figure that out and try not to point the finger at everyone else.
-
Just thought I'd try out your philosophy. Kinda like it. Was on-call so sitting in my office catching up on the government charting requirements so I can become wealthier .
-
Ah, ok...again always someone else's fault! You roll with that DaveK. Does that fact that those careers have a limited skill set or education requirements have anything to do with it? Again, it come back to choices and decisions. Not belittling those careers, but they are what they are. But if a person takes one of those career paths by choice and because they don't make as much as someone else, they are underpaid? Supply and demand works in the job market and with wages too, DaveK. By the way, it is the bartender, waitress or cab driver that gives out of their pocket to the local Red Cross, Salavation Army or YWCA? Not so much, but again I know why...I have all the money? You are bitter person about our American society. Move to France and run for political office there and you would be elected in a landslide.

Fixed my post. Thanks for getting a "fact" finally right, though. The fact still remains you generally bring nothing of value to any of these threads. But as I mentioned previously, you are entitled to your opinion.
-
The problem with these types of threads is you have some people that will refute facts with unsubstantiated opinions. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but when an opinion ignores facts and reality that's where I have a problem. DaveK, and everyone else of his philosophical ilk, is entitled to his opinion, but when facts are discounted as fiction just because he/she doesn't like that way that facts line up, I'll take offense to that and call you out for what you really are--a person of ignorance. I don't have a problem with those who have a different view on anything as long as they can come to a debate with facts to support their opinion. That fosters a healthy debate and respect.
-
And with that you just cemented my point to everyone that will read this thread that you are BOTH ignorant and an idiot! Give me your address and I'll throw you a few bucks if that will make you feel better! See I'm willing to "share". By the way just read that 40% of American families are over $50K in debt, I suppose that has everything thing to do with people like me "hogging the wealth", not paying enough in taxes, and the government not giving those people enough freebies and has absolutely nothing to do with the fact that lots people live way above their means and don't take any personal repsonsibility for their own financial well being! PS--Another fact, not "fiction", I came out of my schooling and training over $150K in debt way back when. Took responsibility and accountability, made some sacrifices along the way and paid it all back. Didn't and don't have new cars, new huge house, 64" plasma TV or a boat. I guess if I'm an "elitest snob" because of all I did to make a better way for myself and family, I hope my kids turn out to be "elitest snobs" just like me, too.

And I predict the Dow will be up over 11,000 by the drop of the puck on Friday. Neither one of the above mentioned scenerios is likely. I'd be thrilled with a split with what Mankato has coming back and being at home plus the fact that we didn't exactly look "solid" in many phases of the game this past weekend.
-
Does this ring a bell?
-
Yes, you have. And I'd be willing to bet there is a majority on this site that agree with me. I'm not going to sit back and listen to someone with little factual knowledge or information on this topic. DaveK, I'll call it as I see it. Now if you want to come this debate with something more than an unsubstantiated opinion, i.e. "hogging", "fortunate", "privileged", please do so. But if you don't want to listen to the true facts in this thread, saying they are "fiction", on how this country's tax system really works, that make you nothing more than ignorant. Doesn't bother me at the rate/amount of taxes I pay, but does bother me when someone like you has the onions to tell me that I'm not paying my fair share when I'm one of those 20% that is covering 80% of the tax bill in this country. Now go find an Obama rally to make yourself feel better about how you're not getting your fair share!

Name another college program that runs into a "hot" goalie every other game?!
-
Last time I checked, He SCORED our lone goal on Friday. So he is on the first line and scores our only goal on Fri. and then doesn't play Sat.? Again, He is either an every night guy or he isn't. Hak did the same thing last year with Miller--on the first line one week and then nowhere to be found for 2-3 weeks. Just doesn't make a lot of sense.
-
And by the way, can someone again tell me how Miller goes from a 1st line guy on Friday to not playing on Sat? He is either one of your top 3-6 forwards or not! Hak has to figure this thing out. As a coaching staff, you either like what Miller brings to the ice or not. But to go from top line to nothing, to me, right there says something about how this coaching staff has no clue at this point on how to fit these lines together early on. And on a side note, Duncan and Miller on the same line gets you nothing in the corners offensively and gets you nothing defensively in your own end.
