If we can't work our way up to a #1 seed, send us to the Springs so I can read what the RMN has to say when we nail CC on our way to Denver!
-
If that is the case, same 4th line as last Sat. goes this Friday and let those 3 take a couple Mavs to the woodshed after we are up 6-0 late in the 3rd.
-
If Hak wants more offense, Genoway is the guy to move around. I like what Malone brings to the 4th line. I also would like to see Kozek on the top line this weekend. If everyone is/gets healthy, the quality of line options is nice to have.
-
Let the NCAA stick us wherever they want, we'll dash a couple team's hope/dreams...again!!
-
All things being relative, he didn't keep up with the other 2 on that line. Agree he played hard and that he should/could remain in the line-up, but not where he is currently at on that 1st line. If UND finds someone to click with Oshie/Duncan, we would have 2 great lines.
-
Exactly. MTU seem so concerned with Osh this weekend that I am suprised that Miller (and Duncan to an extent) did go off in one of the 2 games. Agree with many of the posts that Miller, on that line, is just not doing it.
-
Curious to hear what others thought of Davidson. Thought he might be playing to finish some business if things got chippy but he looked pretty good. That is one tough line with him, Radke and Malone. That line might come in handy this weekend in a physical beat down of a couple Mavs if need be!!
-
VV at a wing then?? Oshie looks strong at center. I like VV with Watkins and Kiap. Not disagreeing but think robbing Peter to pay Paul might not be the best solution. I'd give trupp or Kozek a shot on the top line this weekend.

A win Friday away (what is that?) and break out the brooms!!
-
Agree completely. Miller is a different player on a big sheet of ice when the game becomes more fluid and fast. His skating and skills look much better. On our home ice he just doesn't have enough room to operate and is just not strong enough. The way Davidson and Matrens have played why not try Trupp or Kozek on the 1st line?? Kozek would provide some jump and more toughness. Osh and Kozek on the same line might wake a few opponents up!!

Good weekend all around. Nice to see the stick salute. Really like Zajac with the 2 freshman. Zajac is playing much better and is becoming a beast with the puck in our offensive zone even if he isn't scoring. Chorney is back!! His play is and will be one of the big differences from here on out. How can any one not like watching Genoway play?? Even though the 4th line was out on the ice for the only goal, I thought they played well. First time I've seen Davidson play and he looked alright. His elbowing penalty reminded me of Finley's last yeat at the Frozen Four--horrible call! The only problem/concern I saw this weekend is with the Oshie line. Maybe it is just me but Miller doesn't do much. You hate to see Osh and Dunc paired with someone who can't blend in with their talents. It seemed this weekend with Tech focusing so much on Oshie (and Duncan to an extent) that Miller would be ripe for a big weekend--not the case. But who do you find to play on the that top line?? To me Martens has looked better than Miller and what about Forney?? Slip Kozak on the top line?? Miller on the 4th if you are going to play him? 2 wins though without a goal from your top line is something to build on. Overall I like what I'm seeing as of late!

It is a sad commentary on the WCHA, but true. The WWF has better "referees" and officiating
-
Agree about Miller. He just isn't nearly as effective on the smaller ice. Why not give Forney a shot? And for that matter Martens has looked better in my opinion than Miller so far. Overall great effort and win last night especially defensively. Last night was the Chorney that UND needs game in and game out--rock solid!!
-
That's right, a sweep starts with one game...get a W tonight and then we'll talk about tomorrow. UND 4-2
-
Curious to see who'w with who on the lines tonight. Does Miller really stay with Dunc and Osh? He has been much less effecetive on the smaller ice.
-
A split at home vs. a lower ranked opponent again will not bode well in the Pairwise. Dropping to double digits in the Pairwise starts to put you on the bubble. I like 3 points minimum this weekend.
-
Totally agree. That goal was right in front of us. Not Lee's fault at all. Great play by Wheeler but Wheeler couldn't do that again if you gave 50 more chances. Just one of those goals.

=Brian in the AHL + $$$

Any chance JPL gets a rest this weekend? Maybe Sat.? Or does Walski's time come vs. UAA? According to some of Hak's past comments it sounds like JPL is battling some mental fatigue.
-
Second. If he is not still battling injuries, I think he could make leaps after a few games played consecutively. Look at some of the progress our frosh have made as they have seen more ice time.
-
Did not go to MTU, but agree Forney had some jump vs. UNH. Having seen Miller play and Forney recently, I'd take Forney. By the way, it is nice to see Zajac playing better. I like him with Martens and Radke although Genoway would be a better fit in that line instead of Radke if you were looking for offense.
-
Since one "bad apple" has been kicked off the board for a while some other "bad apples" have not been as vocal. But I agree that some probably got tired of the profanity laced tirades against them and just said enough is enough
-
Last time Forney dressed I thought he skated and played pretty well. I agree with some that he would be at least as good of an option with Dunc and Osh as is Miller. I thought at this point in the season Forney would be getting more ice time?

Like the Packers to win and cover the 8 and UND to get at least 3 points this weekend. It is going to be a great sports Saturday!
