1st time in the UPC last night. Nicer facility than I thought it was going to be. USHL hockey...entertaining if nothing else. Lots of fights and real chippy. Forney plays for Green Bay. Same kind of player: still a good skater/skill and still soft. Didn't get in the corners and did hit anyone. 9 UND players in front of us. Talked to Trupp a little. Just came down to watch the game. He said they had a "tough" week of practice this past week.

...and don't drink so not a factor.

Thru this past weekends home stand SU MBB is avergaong 3807 in attendence. Haven't gone to a SU MBB game this year but am making my visit to the UPC on Sat. to watch the Force.

A simple answer to the question is--NO! This a FB town 1st, then baseball, then basketball and then hockey. As a community, Fargo is what it is. At best, this town is a wannabe hockey town. Minus the cream puff DAC teams that have rolled thru the BSA, the SU men's league attendance is much better than what the Force are drawing.

There are circumstances that happened that I didn't see during the course of the game, but the clip I saw of Boe getting worked while on the ice face down WITHOUT a helmet is bush league...plain and simple. You defending that action is your right, but it is what it is!

But the question, having not watched the game, is how many missed calls and no calls lead to that powder keg? That's my point and it has been stated already: call the game right from the get-go and this goonish stuff won't happen.

The conduct of the player is most directly linked to the refs. Again who was at the "helm" in 'kato...ANDERSON! Pathetic these clowns still have work in this league year after year. What happens when a child has no boundaries or discipline...unruly chaos. What happens when you get multiple kids like this...bedlam! These league game are starting to be no different. If the WCHA refs would strike quickly and with authority on the first powder keg must of this stuff wouldn't occur IMO.

Correct. When was the last time you saw a Gopher player man up and take care of things in a "proper" fashion. Wasn't when Lucia turtled a couple weeks ago, or when Wheeler wet himself last year when Big Joe was ready to go or what pathetically happened last night in 'kato.
