I think the comparison is very fitting. Two leaders, although on different scales, abusing their power to silence the (potential) voice of their own people. When the 4 Seniors graduate after this year...ouch! If you honestly think SU will be in the mix for a Summit title next year, you really are knee deep in the Kool-Aid. These are Miles kids, don't forget that. The recruits the past couple years are not what Miles brought in. Era beginning? New arena? Will really take off? This SU team is arguably the best college BB team in ND...ever and they can't even pack that dump of a BSA. DaveK and I don't agree on ANYTHING but I live in Fargo and this is not and will not be a BB town. FB is and always will be king. But with that said it would be something for SU to make the "Dance" this year. Even a regular seaon title assures them an invite to the NIT which isn't bad either.

1st time in the UPC last night. Nicer facility than I thought it was going to be. USHL hockey...entertaining if nothing else. Lots of fights and real chippy. Forney plays for Green Bay. Same kind of player: still a good skater/skill and still soft. Didn't get in the corners and did hit anyone. 9 UND players in front of us. Talked to Trupp a little. Just came down to watch the game. He said they had a "tough" week of practice this past week.

Thru this past weekends home stand SU MBB is avergaong 3807 in attendence. Haven't gone to a SU MBB game this year but am making my visit to the UPC on Sat. to watch the Force.

A simple answer to the question is--NO! This a FB town 1st, then baseball, then basketball and then hockey. As a community, Fargo is what it is. At best, this town is a wannabe hockey town. Minus the cream puff DAC teams that have rolled thru the BSA, the SU men's league attendance is much better than what the Force are drawing.
