If we can start and continue with crisp passing and get a little jump early, I like our chances alot. Our passing and control of the puck thru 2 periods last night was less than stellar. Glad to see Martens get rewarded for his play last night with another shot tonight.

Getting an early jump on this thread , but after watching last night I think UND will carry momentum and roll tonight. Agree with the Sioux "do" and Gophs "don't" scenerio. Duncan is way past due to light it up!

You are either insulting your own Gophers or the Sioux (or maybe both?). Since I can watch the Gophs locally on FSN-North when I am not at the Ralph, I would say that if UM plays like it does vs. UND every night out, they wouldn't be in the shape they are in standings-wise. The better team won, but both have issues. I would have expected nothing less than the close game we saw. Think UM is better than their standing position as is UAA, but you got to find ways to score the puck and in that lies UM's dilemma.

Kudos to Martens as well. Great pass to get it to Trupp. Martens is not flashy, but he was more than solid on that 4th line tonight. Good for him to contribute on the GW!

You can look at this game from all angles but a WCHA road win is a big win. The Sioux took control of the game, for the most part, in the second and dominated play down the stretch. This team still has flaws and doesn't come to play for 60 minutes every time out, but good teams become great teams when they find ways to win games where they are not at their best for 60 minutes. 8 in a row is a good stretch of hockey period. Make it 9 tomorrow!

Funny?? Which NFL fans are more loyal to their team good or bad?? Not the Vike's fans! Being a Packers/Sioux fan, I'll take that as a compliment even though Puffy probably doesn't see it that way.

Agree with you and message boards are one thing, but when you have a 7 year old daughter stuck in the middle of drunk Goph fans, like at last year's FF and the West regional, dropping F-bombs and berating her and myself, I think I'll give Stpaulsioux guy a pass on this one. Goph fans, especially drunk, in person are the worst of the worst period.

If your source is correct, that would suprise alitte since Marto didn't play last weekend. That being said I do like Marto's speed on big ice.

UND didn't play well and UM did in Dec. at the Ralph. UND is hot but UM is at home. Could go on and on but this weekend with these 2 teams always comes down to effort and who wants it more than skill. Would love a sweep, but I think split is the realistic call here. Swifts on Sat. give UND beatdown win to earn split.

Was at both the F5 and West regional. Can't go wrong either way. The regional in Denver was a blast!
