Per Patrick Reusse on the radio today at 245 pm...he said Lucia grew tired of the Rug's critical views of the Gophs, especially calling out their lack of effort. Patrick send the straw that broke the camel's back was the Rug's very critical comments about the Goph's lack of effort in the 6-0 shelling on Friday in the 1st round of the WCHA playoffs. Patrick said FSN wants "corporate" guys...basically "homers" as he put it. So, bring on La Puppet!

I can honestly say that THAT statement above is one of, if not, the dumbest statements ever made on this site. To make a statement that a MBB team that was what...299 out of 300+ D1 teams could have better odds of winning a NC vs. a perennial top 5 hockey team that only has 50+ total D1 hockey teams to compete against is utterly hilarious. Cornell...1st Ivy league team to win a single NCAA tourney game since Penn in the mid 80's I believe. UNI..1st MVC team to win a single NCAA tourney game since Bird was Indiana St. NDSU made the NCAA tourney last year and I'll set the line that it's at least 7 yrs before they make it back (and I'll take the over), never mind the thought as to when they'll win a SINGLE NCAA tourney game. All I can say is...wow! And for the sake of your financial well being...never, ever go to Vegas!!

Is he your boyfriend?? I already conceeded above that MBB has greater viewship than hockey. Your point that NCAA MBB is the biggest thing going just doesn't hold water then you look at attendence and TV viewership over this past week.

It's the ALAMO BOWL! You really want to play this game??? EVERY episode of Americam Idol draws an 8+! The fact of the matter is the NCAA BB tourney from a TV viewership standpoint is less than stellar...plain and simple. Is it a bigger TV draw than NCAA hockey...absolutely, but it's not as huge of deal as MplsBison makes it out to be. The ratings on Thurs. and Fri. were just over 3. Reruns of Baywatch get those ratings!

CBS received weekend ratings of just over 5 for the NCAA BB tourney...that's about the same ratings for the Alamo Bowl this fall. That hissing sound is the air leaking from your ballon!

No provider in Fargo for 360. Got to get lucky with FSN???...doubtful or Midcon in WF picking it up then finding some place to watch it. Totally absurd that that's what we are stuck with here in the FM area...but ESPN will have log rolling, world's strongest man contest or reruns of this year's national spelling bee on instead!

I guess I really don't have an excuse for my comments. I mean we were a game under .500 in the WCHA heading to St. Cloud in Febuary with 4 series left in the regular season. We lost that series first game and how I didn't see us reeling off 7 straight to finish the regular season and now 13 out of 14 is beyond me. I'm glad Ricki, et al saw that coming! I should of seen that coming based on the team's prior body of work to date.

Sent you a PM for your mailing info...your guess was closest. Was my only birdie of day. Best high iron shot of the day. Hit it to 9'3". 16, 17, 18 are the 3 most fun finishing hole I've ever played. Was really starting to carve it up on the back 9, but played 16 very well just missing birdie putt. Good swing on 17 then had my 2 best consecutive shots of the day on 18...driver, 3 iron to make par. Was just a real treat to play the stadium course. Now I get to sit and wait for flood waters to receed to play anywhere in the F-M area.

At least now he won't have to dig between the couch cushions trying to find change to pay the Jimmy John's delivery guy! That's some serious coin...$184M!
