MTU has won 2 games on the road ALL year...they won't get another one!

Connelly played well. Made 38 saves! Some were game changing. UND just got beat tonight, didn't play poorly...minus the pathetic PP in the 2nd.

3 guys who need to step up as we move into the playoffs--Martens, Frattin and Marto.

Agree. Playoff hockey is won by special team play...we got a little work to do there.

We are not aggressive at all when we are on the PP. Slow to move the puck with lazy passes...not a good combo!

How pathetic is our PP tonight. 2 SHG in a game, 2 SHG in a period, 2 SHG to same guy in the same period...OUCH!

Bucky will roll over tonight. 4-1 UND. McBain will be at least a -2 on the night but some will still suggest he is the WCHA MVP!? Dunc gets the hatty to prove otherwise!

In ATL. 73 and sunny. About to go scalp tickets to the Thrashers/Canadians. Will look forward to a Sioux victory when I get back to the computer. 4-2 UND: Dunc, Genoway, Frattin and Kozek. The Cup comes back to the Forks!!

That would be a big loss for Bucky. Now if they could only get their high draft picks away from the negotiating table with their agents, they might put up a fight this weekend! At worse this weekend is a split and only if Bucky wins Friday. If UND wins Friday, WI rolls over Sat.

Agree but that is a different topic. Question was is he worthy of WCHA MVP? Why not get both!!

Poll the WCHA coaches and given the choice of who they would add to their team right now with Dunc, Stoa or Lasch as the options, Dunc probably get 3/4 the votes.

Like in MLB and the NBA, MVP races generally are about numbers. Very rarely does MVP factor in value. Duncan's number are good, not great, but his value is higher than any other WHCA player...period. He's captain of a team that is going to win the WCHA regular season. He switched positions mid-season that psraked this teams current run. If you factor in all facets of what a player does FOR his team, he'd get my vote for WCHA MVP.

What a game! Exciting to be at! Sweet win, but as some have said our penalty kill has to get better. I know they killed the OT penalty, but they gave up 2 PP to UAA last Sat., then this weekend...not good. Eidness is money! Kid is a gamer! Miller is/was nicked up. Him at 75% is still a push or slightly beter than Fienhage at 100% at this point. Zajac's line was a beast all weekend. Kozek was great today and Davidson stepped in and played well. Thought our 4th line was very solid. Feel bad for Genoway as he struggled again today. He is much better than he showed this weekend. Blood looks more comfortable each time out. And how CC hasn't won more games is beyond me? Rau was the best player on the ice most of the weekend and a cheetah couldn't catch Walsky. I think they are the best team I've seen at the Ralph this year. Great weekend of hockey. Just need 1 point next weekend!

If that works out, I think NDSU would have a decent chance vs. Marquette as their top player was just lost for the year with a foot injury.

Totally agree. Chay can look outstanding at times, but when he doesn't it then makes Joe look worse because of Joe being the only D-man back. They are a great D combo IF Chay plays D first!

As the game progressed, UND started playing less one-on-one. But I totally agree that we need to put the puck on net!! VV had a wide open look just outside the slot in the 2nd and over passed the puck. If we play today like we did the final 25+ minutes of regulation and OT on Sat., UND will win.

Per the Forum this AM, Owens says CC played better yesterday than they did in either game vs. MN last weekend. Hextall says UND did have jump or play physical enough first half of game. With the DU lose last night, recognition of the Sr. class today, and hopefully better defensive play, I think UND shuts down CC's top line and wins today.

Was a fun game to be at. CC is good or I should say their top line is good. IF UND played the first 30+ like they did the last half of the game, they'd have walked away with 2 points. Thought with about 5 minutes left in the second, UND kicked it in. They dominated almost all the 3rd and CC was just hanging on in the OT. E made some sick saves, but agree the semi wrap around by Rau was not a good goal to give up at that time of the game. VV looked sluggish...guy next to me said VV was ill? Totally suprised to see Trupp play...he looked pretty good. Agree our PP and PK didn't look real good. Good overall team effort though. I think UND figures out how to slow down Rau and company tomorrow.

Just about to head up with the 3 girls, 8, 7, and 3! Hope it goes well as does the game. CC is not a real good match up. They've got great speed and good goaltending. I'll say this goes the way of a tie: 3-3 with Duncan, Malone and Marto scoring...but I wouldn't mind a Genoway OT goal to win it!!

Remember them being a pretty physical team last season, but were definitely defensive-minded.
