  1. Then why do they hit alumi up for $$$ as two seperate entities???
  2. The Fighting Sioux Club and UND's Foundation are to seprate entities. You can support one without supporting the other. One could support athletic scholarships thru the FSC and not support the Foundation or visa versa. I had no problem renewing my season tickets thru the FSC. I did though have difficulty ultimately signing the check to the Foundation based on my perceived lack of leadership from our AD and President on this whole nickname/logo issue. UND will always be UND "Home of the Fighting Sioux"...it's just not the same UND I attended IMO.
  3. And that's why this country is in the mess it is. The Joe Chapman/NDSU fiasco is a microcosm of the entitlement and unaccountability attitude that has gripped this country. Throw in all the PC BS and...
  4. How many people do you need to hear "on the record", some being former NDSU employees, to concince you?? Good grief, short of call Joe a thief, from what I've seen and read ther is plenty of proof. Pick up the Fargo Forum or turn the radio on 790 am in Fargo and all you'll hear is people going on the record to give "proof" that Joe was corrupt.
  5. No one said UND wasn't mentioned, but these "oversights" when comparing UND and NDSU with Chapman are not even comparable. Shoplifting is different than bank robbery at gunpoint! Joe flat out was trying to rip off the public and was taking every opportunity to circumvent and cover up his actions. HUGE difference between the 2 schools.
  6. Does the name Paulsen ring a bell? Geeeeeeez...
  7. With that reasoning, it was Best Buy CEO's fault that the Fargo store got taken by a bunch of SU goons!
  8. They are saying the same thing over at Goldman Sachs. How's that working out? Your "oversight" explanation is embarrassing giving the recent audit.
  9. I have heard the same thing from a few Bison boosters myself.
  10. Taylor was on the Innovis board since it's inception in 2008. He resigned from the board in mid April due to conflict of interest secondary to the Sanford negotiations. One of two things happened: 1) Taylor and Sanford have moved quickly on this or 2) Taylor was negotiating long before he resigned from the Innovis board. You do the math on this one! Again, the word intergrity and Taylor don't come together in the same sentence.
  11. Negotiating a new and different deal, twice in 2 months, while still under written contracts speaks highly to the integrity of Talyor and NDSU?! Here's your halo!!
  12. And how long has Sanford been is the F-M area? A couple of months!!! And they are still headquartered in Sioux Falls. A couple of months seems a little shorter than the almost 50 years NDSU and Dakota Clinic/Innovis were partners. G$n$ T$yl$r might be doing what's best for NDSU, but in this community integrity and trustworthiness still carry some merit...unless you work at ND$U. Joe was about the almighty $$$ and Jean is carrying on the torch. By the way, UND wouldn't have turned down the check...it would have just come from an alum!
  13. Speaking of t-shirts, I'm out and about after lunch today and I see a NA lady, late 40's I'd guess, with a t-shirt that made me double take. It had a pic of a NA chief in head dress and above NA pic it said: "Original Homeland Security: Little Big Horn Leaders" and under the pic it said "Fighting Terrorism". I could say a number of things, but one word will do....PATHETIC!!!
  14. You are right? No public spin from Mr. O'Keefe there! Any university of the size of UND will and could absorb the hit of losing a $25K/tr donor...not to mention a lot of small donors!
  15. So what you are saying is that they are part of the 47% of (potential) wage earning adults in this country that pay no...ZERO...federal income tax!
  16. UND lost one major donor ($25K+/yr) so far due to the nickname issue. I'd say that's a pretty big hit. Any pro-nickname folks open their wallets yet? Not to the tune of $25K/yr!
  17. Taylor is following the foot steps of Whiskey Joe...bigger is better. The contract issues are what is really suprising. Jean just seems to think a contract is only bidding as long as it fits his agenda??? His lack of integrity is starting to wear on lots of folks in Fargo, even among some of my faithful SU booster friends.
  18. Heck, while UND is at it they might as well have Rev. Wright or Farrakhan give the invocation/prayer to kick things off!
  19. The 30-year agreement has, IMO, been the biggest issue from day 1. I just can't see how, even if SR votes to keep the nickname, that the 2 tribes will come to an acceptable 30-year deal with the limited time available from now to November.
  20. Whose this Boo Hoo person you keep referencing??? Thanks for another "insightful" post!? I have a hunch what you think are "your rights" are vastly different than most on this site.
  21. You have accused a few on this site of being racist and discriminatory. Do you own a mirror? BTW, do you treat your "white" patients differently???
  22. Faison has one foot in his own grave and the 2nd foot is on a banana peel. If he doesn't get a thumbs up from the Summit this summer, watch out!
  23. Sounds like Commish D-bag is grandstanding to put it mildly. Or is he now racist because he wants to keep SR in check? IF SR votes and IF the nickname is returned and kept in place by the guidelines set forth by the NC$$, Commish D-dag better keep his hole shut! Who does this clown think he is?? It's the Summit for goodness sake. 90% of college sports fans couldn't name 3 teams in the Summit.
  24. Yes it is...to both.
  25. So yesterday we had our state's AG blaming the SBoHE and we had the president of the SBoHE blaming the SR tribe. If you have some personal involvement in this issue, like those previously mentioned, your bus ride just keeps getting bumpier every day!! But that silence you still hear...that's coming from our school's Pres and AD!
