UND played a D3 FB team from WI at home this year. You don't think questions/concerns would have been raised if they would have only won by a FG or a TD? The fact is the D1 process has been in place more than 3 months and subsequently there should be some talent in place so that we don't have to bank in a 3 at the buzzer to beat the likes of VCSU!

Exactly. Again it gets back to politicians, in general, catering to the minority as a way to showing symapthy for those who are offended/afflicted/ect... But wait until Jan. 20 to see how this "process" really goes into affect.

You really want to make that comparison? BSU is a D1 program like UND in hockey. BSU has made the national tourney in hockey as of late and has given some top seeds a run before falling short. Get excited about a win over Mary? You can if you want, but the reality is in the product on the floor. And I won't even get into the coaching aspect...

That is pretty bold and brash when you look at the product that UND has put on the court the past couple years.

As previously mentioned somewhere on this site, at the 10 second mark of this FSSN version you hear Wooger say "Lucia's gotta to go here." Woog might be partially demented, but he still knows what is required in the unwritten rules of hockey. Too bad tDon didn't even teach his son those rules!

That guy, as a college hockey player, was one of the better one's I have ever watched. Tough as nails, good skater, above average on defense and a keen nose for the puck in the offensive end with the ability to find the net or set someone else up.

But you are playing a 3-10 D2 team at home?? I would hope they would win this game. Saw UND play VCSU at home and it was just poor basketball played by a poorly coached team. I haven't followed UND closely since but from what I witnessed in that game this team/program is talent poor player and coaching wise.

Then as a ref isn't it his job to control the antics of both team's players so situations that occurred this weekend don't occur? Pretty classless (since that is the buzzword around here lately) for an official to call out the antics of players when he has the authority to try to limit those antics during the course of action!

Saw both this past weekend. From the looks of them, Kauk has been eating Gretzky's sub as well as his own when they go the Subway!

That is what most commom sense people (minus DaveK) saw/thought occurred. Lucia cheap shots Trupp. Jones stands up for Trupp. Lucia and Jones agree to go at it to settle the spear and then Lucia tucks his onions up into his abdomen. Classless on lil' tDon's part for the spear and not manning up.

Deliberately spearing a defenseless opponent is not within the context of the game. Calling out the offending ass is within both the context and "code" of the game! End of story. You don't get too much do you DaveK. There is little doubt by Jones' reaction that Lucia agreed to go at it then pussed out. But again Jones' reaction is the greater transgression than the actual spear?

This upcoming series with Tech will decide the rest of the season. Will the momentum of this past weekend carry over and allow UND to sweep the bottom feeders of the WCHA or will this past weekend allow overconfidence to seep in and cause this team to stumble in a game(s) they should win? History tells us that UND does well in the second half of seasons under Hak. I think Friday night's game is close and Sat. is a whitewashing. Sioux sweep and then bring on the Pios!

DaveK, just picked up your dry cleaning along with mine at Leaf Cleaners on the south side. The gal asked me if the dresses and the lingerie were my wife's as she thought they were very nice and elegant. I told her no and that they were just my hockey buddy's. Wouldn't have picked you for a floral pattern and chiffon type of guy!

Little late to the party, but what a great weekend to be at the Ralph. 'Lil tDon's spear of Trupp was about as cheap as is gets. But to then jaw with Jones, get called out and offered up a chance to settle it but then goes tail between the legs is as Sally as is comes. There is a reason there is a saying involving an apple and a tree! Let's hope this is the turning point for both teams for the 2nd half of the season. A Sioux team that knows it can complete with lots of effort and dominates from here on out and a Gopher team that, once again, has the leadership from a bunch of WWF wannabes and will continue to crumble like the past few years.

Great game and awesome atmosphere. Sioux finally played with some passion and the result was a dominating performance. E still gives up too many juicy rebounds and is out of position on occasion, but at least he wasn't Kangas-like! Stoa was UM's best player all night but is alittle chirpy and chippy for wearing a "C". Was watching Ness too. Actually thought he would be better from all the hype. Got alittle concerned when Hak had them come out in the "prevent defense" to start the 3rd. I understand that philosophy, but when the boys are sticking down the Goph's throats, why take the foot off the gas? Can't say anything but each Sioux up and down the lineup was either solid or great last night. Was a real treat to be at the game!

Dude, they were about 50 feet from my seats. Great entertainmnet in between play. 2 of the 4 were absolute knockouts! Hope they are back tonight! Had the game gone on a couple more period and alcohol became a bigger factor, we could have had a "Girls Gone Wild" moment!

So you despise Favre and now Tebow. Are you anti-leaders? You must just like the athletes that run their mouths and then don't produce? These 2 guys are arguably 2 of the best leaders ever in their respected arenas: pro and college FB. So there is a reason they get more press and love from the media. In 3 years at UF, Tebow has 2 NC's, 2 Maxwell's and a Heisman. Not to mention he is even a better person than an athlete!!

To think that the new UND Pres and AD would continue with the current nickname and logo after the timeframe set and without Tribal approval is laughable. It would be suicide for the university and that won't happen.
