  1. I'll take that under advisement, Mr. Corso! That year (2006) was when QB Nate Davis was a Fr. When he took over late in the year and they were pretty good to end the season winning 3 of their last 4 with that loss to then #2 Michigan by 8.
  2. I bet the SDSU coach, who's team is heavily favored to win this game Saturday, won't play the "percentages". I bet he goes for it on the4th down a couple of time when the percentages say he should punt. And his team has everything to lose.
  3. And UND never got the ball back. I get what you are saying and but again this was an opportunity against a FBS team...a team you are heavily favored to get beat by...badly. You play those percentages in a game in most circimstances...not that game. 4 and 15 was about the same percentage as punting and getting the ball back, which we didn't. Frenso, if you remember really started to stuff if down our throats running it late 3rd into the early 4th quarter. You punt in that situation if that scenerio presented last week vs. PSU. Against a FBS team...on the road, why not go for it? Just my opinion.
  4. That is exactly the point some, including me, are trying to make. Playing the "percentages" at that point needed to go out the window. "You play to win the game!"
  5. Oops...forgot them. Probably best of the 5 we have played so far. My bad.
  6. I would put them on par with Ball St. from 2006 at best. Not nearly as good as CMU from 2007. Not a college FB expert by any means, but I thought the MAC was generally down overall the year we played NIU. Point still remains we haven't beat a FBS team. That needs to change. The a88 whooping at Idaho was an embarrassment.
  7. IMO the only FBS team we have played that is better than those mentioned above to date was Fresno St. and Muss "played the percentages". IMO if Muss goes for it last year on 4th down late in that game, the locker room would be more apt to buy what he is selling in games like this Saturday because they know he would give them a shot to win if the opportunity presents itself like last year vs. Fresno. People, you can spin it however you want, but 'SU is now 6-3 (I believe) vs FBS teams. Name another FCS program in the last 9 years that has that record vs. FBS teams. Much less doing it during a D1 transition. You play who is on your schedule...period. I don't think the Idaho's and ISU's of the world are a notch about the teams you listed above.
  8. This...^^^^^^^^^
  9. I listened to the Muss presser last night on our local Fox News. The tone in which he conducts a presser is night and day compared to Bohl. Bohl give you the sense that his team is good, he knows it and they know and they will have a great opportunity to win (each game). Muss sounded like it'll be nice to go to San Diego for a little vacation and used the word "fun"! My family uses that term when we head to Disney World.
  10. A +1 to both you then!
  11. I'm sure Cableone will jump all over that to supply the game to the F-M area!
  12. I'm looking for 4 tickets for Saturday 10/27/12 vs. UAA in the lower bowl. PM if you are able to help me out. Thanks in advance.
  13. Muss has to convince this team that he will give them a chance to win if the opportunity presents itself late in the game. He didn't do that vs Fresno last year. As to motivation...I don't know what Muss give his team in that regard but I have never heard him speak publicly like Bohl does in a presser about what he expects from his team. My predication is similar to what you have. If we run the ball and stop the run we have a shot although a long one.
  14. Little advice here...pick up your Barbie dolls and go home for the day. You may not intended to come across like this, but you are today's #1 JA. Sleep on it and give the old college try again tomorrow if you want.
  15. Deano has absolutely no stones...as pres of SU not to take a stand on this type of deception and deceipt is mind boggling. Can understand GT's stand...win at all cost to potentially get a better AD gig. He does have that pompous "I'm smarter than all of you" quality. Probably only buys organic food and drive a Chevy Volt too, but I digress. GT is setting himself up for a prestigous AD gig at a C.C. in Mississippi at this rate.
  16. Checkmate!
  17. Couldn't agree more. One could not have scripted a bigger cluster of missteps. Been entertaining to follow to say the least.
  18. Someone is taking offense to all the 'SU grandstanding and is pushing his stack all in! This is really going to get interesting if this is true. Right somewhere GT is loosening this neck tie!
  19. Not disagreeing with anything above, but the reality is he might have a 3-5 year NFL career at best. He is still going to have to find work in "other businesses" at some point. And this type of thing will linger past his NFL career if that even occurs.
  20. Since we have all established that Adams will lead the NFL in rushing at some point and it the best thing since Viagra (for those of you who need it ), I think that fact that Chappel potentially had 2 of his best years in front of him is being overlooked. Put a Jr. year Chappel in place of Adams Saturday, you really think he would have faired worse? Better yet, would you take Chappel as of today with 2 years left over any RB we have now...and that's no slight to anyone on the roster, I just think Chappel had "special" written all over him if he wouldn't have wasted it. If Chappel had put up Madden like #s in his Jr. and Sr. seasons with his class of speed, you don't think he would have gotten a look as a PR or kickoff returner? I think he had more skill than Mariani of the Griz who played for the Titans recently. Again, as someone point out L. Gordon got a shot. This is nothing more than speculation, but IMO Adams isn't as good as some of you think and Chappel's talent is being brushed aside hastily.
  21. I tend to agree...Chappel would have as good of game had he suited up for PSU Saturday. I'm sure UNDvince has insight we don't but had Chappel had another 2 years...
  22. Fair enough...least you put my mind at ease that we won't get torched/gashed on the ground again the rest of the season for your analysis! Just relieved we won't see another RB as good as this kid again this season or possibly ever?!
  23. We'll have to agree to disagree on this topic. Little biased but had Chappel not pissed his career away, he had all the qualities you described above. But tough to compare old D2 vs. FCS. I do know if our D from the early 2000's played Saturday, this PSU RB wouldn't have looked so good. Again, where was any coaching adjustments to stop him. I didn't see any scheme changes thru 3 quarters and it was pretty much the same running play time after time.
  24. On a side note I heard from a reliable source this weekend familiar with the Jemison family that this is not the first episode of a "wardrobe malfunction" with this kid. Just the first time it has been brought to the authorities attention. That could explain why he was cut loose ASAP.
