As exciting as last night's game was to listen to....tonight's game...not so much.
-
Interesting because TH said on air last night he wasn't real impressed with UNO and that he thought they would of had more skill than what he was seeing.
-
IF UND gets decent goaltending from Dell and can stay away from giving up lots UNO odd man rushes like last night...5-2 UND.
-
Just get him behind the wheel and he'll get to where ever you want to send him in a hurry!
-
I assume Theismann is there to do some type of TV/broadcasing coverage. If you see him before he heads to his gig, make sure to tell him to "break a leg". Sioux sweep!!
-
I agree...27-20 Jacks. And Mussman punts from the Jack's 41 on 4th and 1 with 3:30 left in the game with the fore mentioned score...
-
Tough to quantify, but living in Fargo I'll tell you this...I know lots of SU Bison fans that follow and are fans of UND hockey. Tell me one UND grad/supporter that is a fan of any SU athletic team? From a fan following, NDSU FB has a big statewide fan base. UND hockey has a big statewide fan base as well. The difference IMO is that UND hockey nationwide fan support is greater than NDSU FB.

Good call...Dell has been solid...nothing more. He'll have to be better than that this weekend IMO. When BE plays well, he's solid too. Dell will play Friday...if he gets win, he'll play Sat. I'd like to see BE get in a some point though. But what this team needs is better than "solid" play once in awhile. Dell didn't face much action vs. WI. A perfromance here or there like the WI goalie provided them last weekend would be a welcomed sight!

Just as long as the nightmare continues thru Sunday. Need the Pack to to win to make sure the Viking's grave is completely covered in dirt! GO PACK GO!

1st team with 100 passing yards wins...
-
Have you ever heard him publically take responsibility for any isssues following a game? He throws players under the bus and officials basically after every game. And let's not forget the "We went toe to toe with them" comment following the 45-0 drubbing at Idaho. Is this the "leadership" this FB programs needs and wants heading into the Big Sky???
-
My point exactly...at some point you have to give your team and your fans a chance!
-
Exactly...and a playoff birth this year is a marginal hope at best.
-
This is not an isolated incident. If you look back at game after game during his tenure, Mussman continually plays it "safe". You wonder why there is a lack of interest in this team and program? If you continually play to only lose by 7 and claim a moral victory, you lose your fan base. How many time has his teams been in reach of a victory with nothing to lose other than the game itself, only to see him punt the ball away on 4th and 1. The QB issue aside, his coaching performance vs. the Griz was pathetic. I get the QB situation, but if you are still in the game after Marcus goes 3 for 16 for 18 yards, you have to go back to Goska or stick with Marcus and play to win the game. Mussman, IMO, has been a disaster. Undisciplined play with continuous poor coaching decisions and execution is a recipe for one lousy season.

Exactly...my wife's family is from central WI and they ALL still live there. Kind of a twisted, gin and tonic laced cult like group of people in that state!
-
You can say that about a college athlete but not the head coach of a D1 FB program.
-
Listened to the post game...Mussman is a piece of work!
-
This loss is on Mussman more than anyone else. What an effort by the players! Problem is after Marcus is 3 for 16 for 18 yards and you STILL are in the ball game, why not give Goska another try. Playing not to win is a perfect way to phrase it. Marcus was so inept with his accuracy it was embarrassing to watch. My Griz fan buddy who was at the game kept texting me that he couldn't believe UND stuck with Marcus. I liked Marcus' effort, but that is the worst QB performance I've seen in years.
-
Talked to my buddy tonight. He said Griz a totally different team at home than on the road. He said they pass the ball well...even to the other team. If this game were a road game for the Griz, he'd call it a pick 'em. I called it 38-21 Griz. His call 35-24 Griz.

Giving up a shot is apples to oranges vs. kicking the puck in and thru your own crease on a total misplay of an innocent shot on goal. But roll with puts a smile on your face...
-
That was all caused by Dell's stupid, careless play of the puck. Don't agree with the call but Hex is never in that position if Dell doesn't misplay the puck so badly.
-
We look good on paper...
-
8 1/2 minutes on the PK, another CFB penalty and little jump. Talent won't overcome constant sloppy, undisciplined, uninspired hockey. Getting tough to watch...

Cue the Cam Newton fiasco. Not that UND could recruit any where near that kind of talent nor does UND have $150-200K to get a stud like that! To me, the JC route is nothing more than a band-aid on a gaping wound.
