Whoever feels this whole situation isn't disappointing to the program and university at a minimum is not only a homer looking thru kelly green glasses, but an idiot. Remember people, this is UND we are talking about...not the AC to the south. We pride ourselves in doing things the right way at our university and taking accountablity and responsibility when we don't. Being an institution that enables we are not!

Big picture here...this team is 3-1 and just coming of their 1st BS conference win and it was on the road. Marcus wasn't great last night but the O still put up 35. A running game will help any QB. Just look at Jensen at the AC!!! Minus the Mines game, UND is still averaging around 40 per game with Marcus at the trigger. 40 points a contest should win you every game. I'm not a Braden hater either, but I'm with bincity in the category that if it ain't broken, don't fix it! I'd like to see Marcus get the start vs. Poly. What is broken is our run D. And that needs top be fixed cause what does Poly do? Next Saturday's result will have way more to do with our D or lack of it than who plays QB IMO.

UND will have a week to prepare against a team that is one dimensional. If UND can't tackle or scheme better, we might see 400+ on the ground hung on us. Worst tackling UND team I've seen since the mid 80's. And to top it off, we rarely get multiple hats to the ball. Bad bad combo against the run! The D made some plays when it needed to last night to their credit. The Sac. St. fumbled exchange as they were going to punch it in was the game changer, but still some team had to recover the fumble. Marcus wasn't great last night, but I still think you go with him to start next week. IMO the O-line needed Sutton to get touches last night. He is a one cut downhill runner and sometime that's what is needed for a line to build on. Postitive plays then boom...bust one. Sutton needs to get 20+ touches next week too. Bottom line...1st BS conference win and it's on the road. That's a big win for this team.

Muss should be giddy to be up 7 after that half. To give up 220+ yards on the ground in a game is poor but in a half...brutal!

Wow...Faison swinging a big stick in this situation! Kristo gona be pissed on missing out on his frequent flier miles cause he won't travel now. Disappointing start to season.

Bottom line...there is no controversy this Saturday. Marcus is starting and if he continues to play like he has, UND will win...even if the D continues to play like it has.

34-28 UND...Marcus goes for 275+ w 3TDs.

Having had time to mull this situation over for a day, part of me applauds Faison for taking some action as to discourage this type of behavior again but part of me feels there might have been a little grandstanding/soapbox at work to set himself apart from GT, which IMO isn't to hard to do. I'm conflicted to some extent as Faison doesn't seem to be the type to pat himself on the back, but this just leaves a little less than desirable taste in my mouth for some reason.

I hope for everyone's sake that when Braden plays again he is the FCS version of ARog and frankly 2 quarters vs. Mines is a small sample size. Marcus' stats are what they are thru 3 games...great, maybe not by some, but good enough to be in some elite company in the FCS QB conversation. IF Braden can prove to be better...that will great for this team, but Marcus IS the reason this team is where it is despite no running game and a D that is suspect at best.

Impressive especially when you take into account the lack of the Dickinson St. methodology in enrollment accounting!

I missed the Mines game so personally I've not seen Braden play. Excited to see him though based on the glowing reviews when the opportunity presents again tho.

No offense but giving up 42 and looking like a Pop Warner D was the difference in the game...period. Don't cloud the issue because of the pick 6. Bad play and throw...yes but seriously!

From a locker room standpoint Muss will get some raised eyebrows then. Marcus has stuck w this program even when things didn't go his way. Now the "anointed one" still gets the start even if Marcus sizzles again? Muss would def have a pair to do that IMO and possibly at the sake of some friction w in the locker room. Teammates for 3,4 5 yrs will no doubt have Marcus' back should he carve up Sac St.

So if Marcus continues his hot play and throws for 300+ yards and 3-4 TDs and gets win Saturday, Hanson get start vs. Cal Poly? Hypothetical scenerio I know but just don't see how Muss could make change if Marcus lights it up again.

It won't matter who plays QB from here on out if some other issues aren't addressed quickly.

We tackle at 60% of the time and we win last Saturday too. Marcus, even at less than 60%, has been far from one of the big issues that face this team at this point and time.

Or being smart and going with the red hot hand in Marcus!
