Agree with your post...excellent. Roughriders is and has always been my 1st choice for a new nickname. Plus it's the antithesis of anything NA. And personally I want to get as far removed from anything that has NA connotations, history, ect... from here on out. And I don't want some lame animal or color nickname.

Nelson is struggling because of one thing...strength. There isn't much to his frame. This past weekend, especially Sat., was the first time I saw him actually get in there and mix it up consistantly. Problem is he was always picking himself up off the ice. He needs to add bulk and strength before he'll make a big impact in college much less at the pro level. But he has great instincts and really good hands. I think he's at UND for at least 3 years minimum.

IMO we, as fans, are in the midst of watching something special. I know people will say Toews, Parise or Oshie as of late were arguably better, but this kids has a laser shot, can skate with anyone and is physical and strong as any forward we've had in awhile. I enjoy watching him a much as anyone I've watched in a UND sweater!

Thought Trupp was geat tonight and all weekend for that matter. IMO best player on the ice this weekend. Mario played another good game...glad to see him net one. And Davidson's play was more than solid. Good for him to get back into the mix. He sets the 4th line in a way Gleason can't. He is a great fit with Rowney and Mario with the injuries we have.

Think NDSU will keep it close for a half...I'll say 'Cats 28-17. Going to try to find time to sit down and watch it...should be a good one.

The more he plays, the better he looks...except when he is trying to play the puck outside of or behind the net. He is postionally getting more and more solid as he seem to be really adjusting to the speed and pace of the game. He'll need to be as good or better tonight to get UND a win. On a side note, Hak, IMO, needs to get Gleason out of there. You can't tell me Bruno or Davidison paired with Mario and Rowney isn't a better line combo? That line was barely seen from the second period on. Our "strength" is suppose to be our depth? You take that away if you can't roll 4 lines with or without some players out. And Gregiore is out indefinately after wiping out during a warm-up skate before Tues. practice! How the heck does that happen??? Overall, one of the better performances this year top to bottom from an undermanned Sioux team last night.

Dunn has roughly 90 saves in his last 2 starts vs. UND and the way UND shots the puck, Dunn might need a new jersey by middle of the 2nd period Sat. night!

I'm with you on this...last to Sat. nights we have had roughly 80 SOG and put 2 in the net?!?! This is one of the most talented offensive teams, top to bottom, that I've seen in along time yet burying grade A chance is difficult for this squad. No way seeing the game live Sat. and rewatching it, we shouldn't have won that game...period. Wouldn't be suprised if UND makes Lee look like an All-American one of the 2 nights.

So it not a "lower body" injury then?

Hendrickson was, I believe at one point during the Griz game, 2 for 15 for 18 yards! Those are ND 9-man FB stats! After watching that game, for Muss to continue to play him was jaw-dropping!

Just over 12K for your 1st ever playoff game in the Dome and 1st playoff game in almost 20 yrs?!?!? "Bison Strong" I don't want to hear ever again from any SU hack on this site about FB attendance, Bison FB being the biggest followed sport's team in ND, ect... Especially after, on the same night, UND hockey draw 11K for a non-conference game. Good win for SU FB though...should be a deent game heading out to play the 'Cats. Insider info and opinions from Missoula and Griz country say that this 'Cats team is their best since the '84 NC team...for whatever that's worth. If it's on TV, I'll take the time to watch it.

We will be heading up both nights...should be a good series of hockey. I like UND tonight after the end of the game collapse last Sat. at UNOand after being on the road for a couple of weeks. SIOUX 5-3 Kristo, Frattin, Hextall, Nelson and Marto.

Semantics...bottom line is the KU win got you in and it's a game none of you penciled in before the year started. You SU fans, on Thanksgiving, should be vey thankful for that "W".

Thank you...I really didn't think, based on the schedules that were played this season, that the who's in and who's out would be so difficult to comprehend given certain scenerios. NDSU was the last team in...KU got them in and that's good for them. They won enough games with strenghth of schedule to gain that last spot. Montana didn't but beating a D2 team wasn't the reason they didn't get in.

My source, from Missoula, said he heard that even a 7 win Griz team with all wins vs. D1 FCS teams still would of been out vs. this year's 7 win Bison with their win at KU. Just saying what I heard...and I don't have a dog in this fight.
