  1. So the largest city in the state with arguably the largest group of residing alum is still shut out on the TV deal. I will second the post above even though I'm at the mercy of the evil empire...Cable One.
  2. +1 What he said ^^^...to me this is a no- brainer. End of story! Any other nickname IMO will be pathetic at best.
  3. He was IMO the most overlooked and underappreciated player on last year's squad. I don't care where he plays as long as he plays every night! And I'll add that I think it will tough to keep Gaarder and Pattyn out of the line-up as the season moves forward. Those two might not have the talent of some of the incoming Fr. but both have the "it" factor which you can't quantify.
  4. Name some "legacy players" that fit that description: soft, like to avoid contact, not grit or grind...I'm curious.
  5. Over the past 2+ years I have gotten to know Bohl alittle bit. He is a quality guy and has a focus/mindset for running that FB program the right way...which he seem to be doing. He is a big believer of accountablitiy and team above all else. He isn't a Rocky Hager type!! If the above info is even somewhat factual, I don't see the "Badger" wearing the green and gold in any scenerio with Bohl as head coach. Plus a kid like that isn't going to leave Bourbon St. for Broadway in Fargo!!!
  6. Rhombus is the best IMO in the FM area. When we hit GF for FB or hockey games, we go old school and hit the Moon.
  7. Agree...Roughriders to me has always been the obvious and logical choice.
  8. Voted "Yes" to Measure 4 this morning, but the "Sioux" flag is still waving proudly off the front of our home...and will be until the name is officially retired!
  9. "Mine's bigger. My cucumber. It's bigger." Seriously...you feel you had to drop that tidbit above?? You really are a complete tool! Guess we can add Penis Envy to your list of endearing qualities. I have a house in Phoenix as well as I'm sure a number of others who post here do too. They were basically giving homes away down there 4-5 years ago but I'm glad your assests and cash paid dividends for you so you can enjoy life. PM your address and I'll look you up when I come down sometime...as long as you skip the Speedo. And my recommendation is to take ScottM's advice and "stick to your own baseless ignorance". It will benefit the rest of use who frequent this site.
  10. What I do know, as I stated before, is you are nothing more than a 5 cent Lucy wanna-be-pychiatrist...and a pathetic egomaniac. If anyone on this thread or board disagrees with me, I'll retract my comments. "Bueller, Bueller, Bueller..." By the way, setting the bar for my kids higher than other kids so as to have them reach it will only help them become responsible and accountable in the future. We have enough losers, like yourself, walking around this country already.
  11. Anyone else here get the sense that this watchmaker tool is really Cliff Clavin?? He seem to know everything about everything...just ask him!
  12. My property tax bill in Fargo is quickly approaching the GNP of Burundi! It is really getting ridiculous as compared to other cities in ND and in other states. I'm thinking about driving over to the Bakken with my ice auger and it's extention piece to see if I can hit oil on my own!
  13. Powerful indeed...after watching it, I've started stocking up on batteries, bottled water and canned goods!
  14. I'll take the bait one more time just for the simple fact that every time you post something on this thead it shows your complete stupidity and ignorance. Your little ditty above, and your other posts, show you are nothing more than a 5 cent Lucy wanna-be pyschiatrist! Truly patheic! ALL, and I will repeat ALL, your accusations, assertions and assumptions about this matter are completely wrong...period. If you want to accuse me of abuse, I'd kindly send you my address in a PM so if you ever get to the FM area, we could discuss that face to face. Thru all this though, oh great wizard, you forgot to tell us how the game went that Saturday, what happened after the game and what has transpired since. Well let me tell you...my daughter scored within the first minute and then scored again later in the game. After the game I told her how proud I was at how she played, but more importantly how proud I was of her taking accountability before the game in front of her teammates. We then proceeded to go get ice cream. She then met me at the door the night of our next practice, gear on and ready to go, telling me to hurry as we don't want to be late. That now makes this game 4-0 me/coach/dad with the ENG just being scored before the horn sounds. Remember to clean your pool as I'm sure part of your routine is to rinse off the Cheetos crumbs and debris from your bottom half! Anything else you need to add to this, PM me as to not make you look more like the a## you already have been shown to be!
  15. You are just amazing. I'm not gona show favoritism just because she is my daughter and she decided what her response would be to her choice to skip practice. You seem to miss the fact I didn't MAKE her go to practice. You can read into this however you want. Bottom line is I don't want either my kids to turn out like you and yours views. This country has enough self centered, me me me a##holes like you. They'll grow up to be respectful & accountable. And it's never too early to learn those values. You obviously missed that part growing up.
  16. Nice try! You definately are a tool! She has/had accountibility to her teammates as we all have accountability to others every day, but your pansy ass "if I don't want to I don't have to" self centered mentality is pathetic and why there are so many "victims" out there and people looking for someone to enable them from taking any sort of responsibility/accountability.
  17. Far from it. My girls, 7 and 12, know this though...that poor choices have consequences. 3 things they have been taught from day one...respect, integrity and accountability. They will goof up, make poor decisions and make mistakes, but there are always lessons taught...i.e. my youngest refused to got to her soccer practice 2 weekes ago on a perfect spring evening for no other reason was "I don't want to". I coach their team and all the other girls were at practice. She argued and didn't go. Because of her poor choice her option for their game that Saturday was A) sit out the first half or B) apologize to her teammates before the game for not coming to practice for no reason and that it wouldn't happen again. She chose B...little bit of public humiliation? Probably...but she figured it out quickly that her poor choice had a consequence. Letting the inmates run the asylum doesn't work in any sector of society. Sooner everyone realizes that, the better!
  18. Your "No Child Left Behind" mentality where all kids get to chose whether they want a pony or a fluffy bunny is what is wrong with this society. Or maybe disruptive/poorly behaved Johnny or Suzie just needs more pills and therapy as nothing is their fault.
  19. Best non-sports post of the year so far!!! Our society needs to stop promoting of the "wussification" of this country. Maybe someone can get our Commander-in-Chief to read this thread!
  20. Business is business whether it's college hockey, retail, medicine or big oil. Bottom line is, as many of you know, character/leadership/intergrity trumps talent/"smarts" 99% in the workplace...regardless of the field. Hak made the call to get rid of Eades, but his leadership and character will tough to replace in the locker room and on the ice with the kids on the team and those that were recruited by Eades. Tough to see him let go.
  21. Knight gets the "C"...you don't play 1/2 a season with a broken hand without gaining the total respect from your teammates. Mac is a decent leader, but he took a ton of penalties....many undisciplined. He gets an "A" again and so does Rowney. If they give a third "A"...Gleason over Kristo.
  22. Getting Kristo to return is HUGE! All the talk about Seth Jones and his potential one year here pales in comparision to getting Kristo back for another year. If you gave me the option of having Kristo or Jones here for the 2012-2013 season, I would take Kristo 100 times out of 100.
  23. Again is the key word here. He has a history. My guess is he will be done for the rest of the playoffs and possibly a few game to start next season.
  24. Suprised Tippett would tolerate the play of total hack like Raffi. Seems to be a total lack of respect for the game and players as the playoffs progress...i.e. Weber, Backstrom, Torres. Disappointing to see.
  25. I'll take "Pay for Play" for a $1000 Alex.
