My Griz buddy In Missoula bascially texted me two words when I asked him about this developement yesterday..."Penn St."! He said he has heard rumors of major player cover-ups by the head coach and AD over the last couple years. Will see what leaks out...

Regardless of what other forwards we have coming in, it will be tough to keep Gaarder off the ice next year. Poor man's version of Oshie IMO. I like him alot.

The Hrkac's Circus was my first real intro to Sioux hockey when I stepped on the campus of UND. Have never seen anything like that team since. Been following Sioux hockey ever since and have never seen a "team" like this year's squad since as well. My sense of pride in what this team accomplished with what they were dealt is a far greater than any disappointmnet from last night. If this is the last team to wear the "Fighting Sioux" logo, it couldn't be more fitting.

The only team that was really able to neutralize our top line all year was the Gophers. Big, strong and fast. They had their top line on ours almost exclusively for all 6 games. That tells me Nelson and Kristo still have some work to do especially physically and strength-wise before they should depart IMO. I do think Kristo goes. Nelson would be a big mistake at this point. As for Forbort...he really only played like you would expect a top 1st round pick to play the last 3-4 week of the season. He could use another year as well.

T minus 90 minutes before we leave to drive down to the X. Can't wait! After following yesterday's games...who knows what to expect?

Well...then I better change my plans and not head to the X. I guess we'll see. I haven't missed many games this season, either live, TV or webcast, and I can count on one hand where UND's top line wasn't the best line on the ice for that particular game. One line doesn't make a team, and regardless of what USCHO says I'd be suprised if UND's top line didn't ouplay WMU's top line tomorrow.

This game IMO comes down to discipline...if UND stays out of the box, I think they roll. 5v5 hockey will be key for UND. UND's top line is superior in talent and should have a big impact on this game. Dell will be steady if not great. 4-2 Sioux is my call with WMU scoring late to make it look closer than it is. If UND throws in 4 straight penalties to start the game like they did vs. the Gophs last week, all bets are off.

Probably the least talented Sioux team top to bottom in years, but don't remember a UND team in 25 years with as much character. IMO that starts with two guys...Hak and Mario. This team is rolling now. I expect them to play well in the regional. Frozen 4 or not, this has been probably my most enjoyable and memorable season as a Sioux fan in a long, long time.

Moy hasn't missed predicting a NCAA bracket since 2004 I believe. UND is the lowest of the 4 #1 seeds and some #1 seed has to go to St.Paul and any of the higher #1 seeds would whine like crazy if they got shipped to St. Paul. The X has become the Ralph 2.0 within the state of hockey the last few years. If UND is to make the Frozen Four I wouldn't want it any other way than by ending the Gopher's season if the teams were to meet in the regional final. We were in Denver a few years back for the last regional final these two met in and it was crazy fun. Next Sunday at the X could be off the hook and something to be witnessed only by those not faint of heart.

Let's win this game tonight, hoist the trophy then look forward to the #1 seed next weekend back at the X with an opportunity to potentially end the Goph's season on the way to the Frozen 4!

I know I'm in the minority, but give me another "Jim", another "general" and another Gleason is next year's class instead of a one and done Seth Jones and this program will be better off down the road!

He was very good last night. LaPansie is a complete homer and Gorg is simply a tool for "Gopher nation".

Bingo...Dell was clearly the difference as why UND was still in the game before Forbort scored. He was outstanding and I'm sure is overlooked as to how this game unfolded. It easily should of been 5-0 prior to Forbort's goal. This team has more character than ANY Sioux team I've seen in 25 years. One can't quantify that and that's starts at the top with Hak. I think in some years he hasn't got the most out of his talent, but this year his leadership in undeniable. One word IMO describes last night...amazing! Ready to book my tickets back to the X next weekend after tonight! (I hope)

That is exactly what happened. We were right across isle in 116. UND guy was huge. Why the Gopher fans decided to take verbal shot at this guy to start with is beyond me. UND guy landed a solid shot then asked the Gopher tool to go outside and finish it. Like all Gophers, he cowered.

To your points....yup, yup, yup, and yup. UND couldn't keep the puck on their sticks for any thing. No jump and no legs at all. When Kristo looks like he is skating in mud, you know it will be a struggle. Dell was very good...I expect Hak to ride him at this point. Bobby went with Lee...Bob will never be a baseball manager playing those %s and numbers. Way too many tries at long breakout passes to try to gain the Clown's zone and when we got it in there, fire it on net!! Sat by some Clown fans in Sec. 116...wow, even more annoying than most Gopher fan's. Side note...saw one CC fan. She was 6'3", hair down to her butt and more facial hair than me. Told her she might to head to Williston to find a man unless she plans on hooking up with a bear when she returns to Colorado! Goodness was that a sight! UND will have to play much better IMO tonight to have a fighting chance. The X should be electric.

As soon as my 11 year old daughter wakes up we are heading back to Fargo. She has a lead in our church's musical production Sunday and has a 3 hour practice tonight. She is not happy that we can't stay for the game tonight. The X was filled with Sioux fans last night...all others cheering for the Clowns. The atmosphere tonight at the X will be electric. Gophs will have a the home ice advantage but it will be minimal at best.

I'll wear that underneath my Sioux sweater!
