I’d be fine with that too. Hobie looked good in his limited action. Aside from a couple ones he might want back in his last game against UNO, I think he showed he’d be a more than capable starting goalie. Would still need a capable backup to join Johnson (if Persson departs as has been hinted at)…so either another recruit or portal grab for one season until Heil can come in.

You'd think if they could, they'd go back to making players sit a year and also maybe control NIL a bit. I have no idea if that would be possible though.

If Persson departs, that RIT goalie in the portal, Tommy Scarfone, has put up very solid numbers in all three college seasons. He wouldn't have faced the same level of competition, but still good numbers. I wonder where Michael Emerson will end up?

Agreed. This is changing college athletics...won't see many players being loyal to their team or earning their spot anymore. Just go to a different team instead. It'll make you really start to appreciate the guys that stick around one team for their entire college career. But I guess this is our new reality, so teams need to embrace it if they plan on succeeding going forward. Give him a setup man like Blake or Swanson and he could double his goal total.

Portal entrants are going crazy with today being the first day for non-grads to enter. This is all from today alone already, with more coming I'd expect: Couple more UMD players entered, as well as a Miami player. Carter Wilkie has a pile of points from RIT. Merrimack has four portal adds to their team already this offseason. A Michigan player entered, even with his team still playing. This portal stuff is craziness.

I thought he'd leave last year...I was surprised that he stuck around at UConn for two seasons with how highly touted he was. Would be a great pickup and immediate impact player for wherever he lands...Divver says UMN, UW, and UND are the favs. We'll see. We won't need the portal nearly as much this year as last...but a couple players like Wood and Pohlkamp would be massive gets.

Snuggerud and Moore? I would take Blake over those two and Willander. Heck I’d take OMac over them as well.

I guess best case scenario is you put yourself in a position for all three titles. It rarely ever happens to win all three, but at least give yourself a chance. I mean, I'd much rather be in DU's position right now...finishing 2nd in the conf, winning the conf tourney, and at the F4. I'm glad that the team won the Penrose this year...at least they got some hardware. But if next season we finish 3rd in the conf, 2nd in the conf tourney, and then make it to the F4...I'd be more excited about that. We've won enough Penrose's for awhile...let's focus on those other two for a change.

Pohlkamp is a righty, so we'd be set. Would be great news if this is an actual possibility of picking him up.

We were talking about how Gaber disappeared a bit at the end of this season...what about Snuggerud?? When he announced he was coming back for this year, many guessed that he'd be a Hobey favorite...but that certainly didn't happen. Not even in the Hobey Top 10. I'm guessing he'll sign shortly. Good chance of all #1 seeds advancing to F4...when's the last time that happened?
