  1. Talks about both Hale & Hakstol, as well as the rest of the tourney: https://www.therinklive.com/youth/brenden-hakstol-shattuck-st-marys-off-to-solid-start-at-usa-hockeys-15o-tournament-in-fargo?fbclid=IwAR1EHDGM3Ne4bpdYeuJZWtFQfzM4qD5aYrJ-Q7zKbd2V63RT6DEoRbmh6Nw_aem_AV7HAJjY5vMsbZ2abl8o2Fkql53Uz1YX1nM04UqALGnz_XcnL3ThgU-bkb26m1WgiTKieDNpolKU6pgXjDiZSDXY
  2. Another one for QU signed...Graf after his JR season. QU losing a fair amount of skilled forwards already...they'll have some holes to fill up front. Lipkin, Graf, Quillan all signed NHL deals...and Fillion transferred to Miami.
  3. It wouldn't surprise me if Carolina was putting the full court press on him to sign if he could enter free agency next summer if he doesn't sign this year. Plus, he just had one of the best UND seasons for points in quite some time. That said, I'm sure Berry & Co (and maybe his dad) have told him that another season of strength training could do wonders for being able to step right into an NHL roster. And...it would be sad if the last memory of him in a UND jersey was getting injured while attempting to take a shot at a UM player as time expired in yet another NCAA first round loss. Returning would give him a chance to erase that memory and bring home the final trophy next season...like his dad did.
  4. Does DU have an NIL collective as well? I honestly don't know. Not sure how many people would contribute to it being that their hockey team has like 20 total fans.
  5. Costantini could be getting some big minutes next season for WMU, could really see his numbers improve greatly. He's one player that I wish would have stuck it out here...I think he could have contributed this year at UND, for sure. WMU loses 7 of their top 9 scorers from this year's team...only Bump and Costantini are scheduled to return. Although it seems like they've been in that same position the last few years and always seem to get some players to step up offensively. The rosters of UNO and WMU will look very different next season...both of them losing a lot.
  6. Certainly didn't hurt that Pohlkamp has already played for Carle this season too. He would have been a great addition...as it is now, time to move on to the next best RHD guy!
  7. Are the # of commits supposed to be for the 2024 class alone? If so, Maine is replacing almost their entire team with their freshman class.
  8. It’s been rumored that he was leaning DU since before he even entered the portal. It wasn’t a waste of time I’m guessing…maybe Berry and Co made the decision difficult for him. As far as him wanting a college championship, then he could have prob picked from any one of 10-15 teams…including UND.
  9. Or it could be as simple as he’s spent the last year in Bemidji and wanted to spend the next 1-2 years in a bigger city? All these kids have different reasons for choosing the schools that they do. Pohlkamp would be playing at the next level regardless of what school he attends, heck he could have stayed at BSU and accomplished that goal easily. Both DU and UND coaching staffs have proven without doubt that they are good at preparing their athletes for the next level.
  10. Geez man, it’s gonna be alright. I promise.
  11. Hopefully this is an indication that DU is losing a few (or all three) of their “B” dmen.
  12. Ouch if the news is true about Blake. Not entirely unexpected but I 100% agree that he could use another year just to physically mature. Just look at that last game against Michigan how many times he got knocked on his butt or off the puck. That was against college players, not AHL/NHL. He has the skills though for sure. If he does sign, then a portal duo of Wilkie and Wood would be awesome…plus monster years from James & Perron. You’d think Jason would be in his ear for one more year at UND.
  13. Was glad to hear that it wasn't Wilkie. From the rumblings, it sounds like it is between UND and UW for Wilkie.
  14. Dylan Wendt (WMU) and Sam Lipkin (QU) have both signed pro deals.
  15. A good article from CHN from earlier this year on our fresh goalie addition: https://www.collegehockeynews.com/news/2023/12/14_The-Guiding-Light-of-Perspective.php
  16. I have no doubt he is a great recruiter and coach...his track record speaks for itself.
  17. There's no way he doesn't have a better personality than Carle if we're battling against DU for Pohlkamp.
  18. Interesting stat on new goalie TJ: @Oxbow6 will be happy with that, as I know he loves the shootouts.
  19. Good that we're in the running on a couple of them...visiting the school is a good sign. Time for Berry and Co to wow them on their visits.
  20. Dang. Potulny is gonna have his work cut out for him this offseason:
  21. If that’s the case, then I hope they’re mad at all the many programs that already have committed portal players too.
  22. What for? Not that their fanbase needs a reason to complain about UND.
  23. I say we just call him Helter Skelter.
  24. Yeah, he got injured: I was thinking we'd run with 9 D then. Everyone still comes in. Or, if Komzak or Benoit portal out, he'd take their spot. For sure. Johannes comes immediately to mind.
