I'd rather see UMass win, NCHC-pride be damned. Hate DU more. That said, DU looks like the better team. UMass needs to generate a bit more if they're gonna make DU nervous.

I feel like the doomsday scenario changes depending on the coach though. There were yearly threads calling for replacing Hakstol on here. There are yearly threads calling for replacing Berry on here. With Hakstol, everyone claimed he couldn't get the team over the last hump, despite leading them to countless F4. With Berry, everyone claims he can't get the team motivated to make a run in the NCAA tourney...and his first title was Hakstol's team. In truth, any coach is going to face a tough crowd here on ss.com, unless they win a title every 2-3 years.

That must have been such a cool moment. Cool to hear that Bubbs was there for that. A different path when compared to the 'screaming and throwing chairs' crowd, but you can tell that Bubbs really cares for these kids and vice versa.

Yeah could you imagine some young potential recruits watching this video series and then seeing all that stuff at the Ralph (the full recovery rooms with nap area??)...comparing it to the other college rinks that Chiclets has shown. Those other rinks are nice, for sure...but the Ralph absolutely blows them away. Not even close.

Yep. I'd also put the 2004 regional final loss to DU on there (in Colorado Springs). 1-0 on a late 3rd period goal from DU. UND outshot them 33-17 but just couldn't get one past Berkhoel. Ryan Hale hit the post less than a minute in and that set the tone. The year of the Parise/Murray/Bochenski big line (The Money Line). Parise turned pro a couple days later. I remember just turning off the TV and sitting in my living room in silence after that game.

Damn that would be a really hard F4 to watch. But honestly could happen.

What about the opposite then? Like Cameron Berg or Garrett Pyke -- both had their best seasons ever statistically this year since transferring to UND from UNO and UAF. Culture? Blame Berry? Systems? Those coaches didn't yell enough?

A massive screamfest from Berry and Dane would do wonders during pre-game. Don't think Simmers or Karl have it in them though, might need to bring back Deano and Geno if they make it to the Sunday game.

When Blais coached, he'd just call Christian Bros and have them send over a few hundred more wood sticks from Warroad. Little bit different animal these days.

Can't imagine many schools would be willing to kick out a chunk of NIL dollars for Biondi. Is he a nice solid player? For sure. But he's not gonna be a game changer for many college programs. Especially not ND in the B10.

Also helped that UW hit 4-5 posts in that game. But I'll take that kind of puck luck any day. I'd take it on Friday.
