  1. That's spread out over four or five seasons though. Some of those guys are '96 or '97 born players, so we won't be seeing them for 3-4 more years at least. Although it does seem that Voltin and Rowe have been committed for at least half a decade now. And then you have to figure that a couple of those players won't even make to campus...either with flight risks to the CHL or just not producing enough (for those early commits).
  2. Good get for the coaching staff. I would guess he comes in this fall as well. That would mean LaDue and Stecher coming for sure and MacWilliam and Gleason gone for sure. Crisfield and Poolman as the two potentials to come in as well or delay a year depending on what Forbort and Simpson do.
  3. How the heck does Decker from UW get on the First Team as a forward with 38 points when JoLam had 54 points on the 2nd team? JoLam almost has as many assists as Decker has points. That's ridiculous. I would guess that the Lammy twins don't put a lot of stock in these individual awards (especially since they have been shafted on them ever since they came to UND), but that is absurd.
  4. I guess the WI boys basketball tourney is being played there this weekend.
  5. Or we could get lectured about how we all should be severely disappointed if we don't win the National Title every season.
  6. Tickets reserved for the inaugural NCHC tourney!
  7. It will be nice when the Sioux win their next national title. For one, it's a Sioux national title!!! But then we'll also be done with this argument of "some Sioux fans don't think National Titles are important any more" or "it's harder to win national titles now" or "why can't we win a national title every year like BC" or "If Dean were still here, he'd have won us 28 more titles by now", etc, etc, etc. Or at least that argument will be done until a couple more years have gone by... Haha.
  8. I would say that UND is one of the best programs at retaining their star players for an extra year or two. Just look at guys like Oshie, Parise, Toews, Kristo, etc. All of those players could have easily left a year earlier than they did.
  9. Many were thinking that same thing about the BSU series though as well. Not that I still wouldn't mind seeing it.
  10. I try not to get into "who's best" arguments with other schools. I think UND's record speaks for itself, and "decent" fans of other schools know that. Vice versa as well. When was the last season that UND didn't contend for the NCAA title? 2001/2002 in my book. BC didn't even make the NCAA tourney field in 08/09. They are certainly in a nice little run recently, but potential recruits certainly realize that any pick of UND, BC, UMN, etc are going to be title contenders every season. And I think UND's record of putting kids in the NHL speaks for itself too.
  11. Mein Gott. Why even bother to watch the games if you're only disappointed with the team every season. I want another national championship as much as the next Sioux fan, but some fans here are so quick to write off this team (or past Sioux teams). Did we have teams in the past decade capable of winning the title? Of course. It sucked watching some of them dominate all season and then come up short in the end. But that's hockey sometimes. The best team doesn't always bring home the hardware. Either way, I'm going to enjoy watching the rest of the games this season. We have an incredible group of seniors and players this year and I would love to see them go out on top. But if they don't, I'll still enjoy the ride that they've taken us on...through both the ups and the downs.
  12. I have it but unfortunately have no way of putting it up. I'm no help at all. I can't believe that they misspelled Danny Kristo's name during the senior tribute video..."Dany Kristo". Who's doing the editing on those vids?
  13. Random Person #1 - "Hey man, how did the Sioux look last night?" Random Person #2 - "They played like crap." Random Person #1 - "Oh, that sucks...did you go to the game or watch it on tv?" Random Person #2 - "I didn't see the game at all."
  14. Next weeks opponent MSUM tore up CC with their PP tonight. Tons of penalties in that game...MSUM had 13 PP's and CC had 8. MSUM scored 4 PP goals (including 3 on one 5min major penalty). MSUM doesn't still play that stupid Ole song after every goal, do they?
  15. Not sure yet...tickets haven't arrived yet for some reason. Guess the mail takes a long time to get to AZ. We'll have to meet up sometime during the weekend. Maybe Brandon will be there too and we can have a Lake Agassiz reunion.
  16. We could always run into the dreaded hot goalie, though.
  17. BSU seems to have copied the playbook of UW. Just boring hockey to watch. They sure did a good job of containing the Grimaldi/Knight/Kristo line...but a lot of that had to do with those three having a BSU player for a backpack most of the game. Take care of business next weekend at MSUM and let the chips fall where they may in the WCHA race. Just hope we don't see BSU back here for the 1st round. Like others have said, we match up much better against MTU or UAA.
  18. Good grief man, step away from the ledge. Still one weekend of play left in the crazy WCHA race and you have the rest of the season mapped out.
  19. Sioux got some good help tonight with Minnesota and UNO both losing. Too bad that MTU couldn't complete the comeback (they were behind 4-0 to SCSU entering the 3rd period and brought it to within 4-3 before losing 5-3). Hoping for another UND win tomorrow and hopefully some separation in this crazy WCHA race.
  20. Suzie is the best. She would come into the bike shop all the time when I worked there, what a great lady.
  21. Ummm, no I didn't. No where on my post does it say "edited".
  22. Knight definitely had a good 10/11 year that made me believe that he would be able to help fill the gap for the following year...but Kristo and Nelson both had very inconsistent seasons (only 8 goals each), so it was hard to pencil them into the top line for the next season. Someone always steps up and helps fill in for the departing players. Rocco, Parks, the MacMillan bros, OD, St. Clair, etc...someone will make the jump. Not to mention the talented freshmen forwards incoming. The scoring will come, I have faith.
