Agreed. I really like our current freshman group. Some of those players will be excellent college players during SO/JR year, and JBD and Scheel are already there. Senden is a future captain. Our incoming group looks awesome on paper. I’m already looking forward to next years team and seeing what they can do. We’ll see if this years team can pull off a miracle.

Couches are the least of our worries.

We split with Omaha earlier this year and needed OT to beat CC at home both games. To win all four (in a row!?!) is a big ask for this team, but we'll see.

Good probability to move further down though when they don't sweep both. At this point, it's win 1st round & win NCHC tourney or go hit the golf course.

I am willing to give Berry one more season before I join the Boo Berry crowd if he doesn't turn it around. This team lacks scoring, but has a great d-corps and goalie group. With some infusion of highly skilled forwards plus our current crop of FR/SO gaining another year, our forward skill will go up. Plus, our PP can only get better, right?

It's honestly hard to expect more from this team though. At this point in the season, they are who they are.

UND swept UAA this year. Good comeback in that second game too...down 3-1 in the 3rd and scored 3 goals in a 1:30 to win 4-3. But, as Wilbur said...that Canisius series on the other hand...

If by some miracle this team makes the NCAA's, can you imagine how ticked the #1 seed would be having to face UND in Fargo? Haha, ton of work to do to even get to that point though.

That's great news. Now the only question would be if UND's season gets extended long enough to have him playing again.

UW's recruiting class for next season is loaded. That said, I could see it playing out similar to BU's recent stellar classes. Uber talented but too young. After not winning a natty next season at UW, Turcotte and Caufield bolt for pros after their frosh seasons. Donovan is a tough one. He's certainly not lighting up HS hockey like many predicted he would for his SR season. I'd rather have him on the roster than our recent commit due to his higher ceiling, but I agree with scpa0305 that I don't see him doing much in NCAA until at least his JR/SR seasons.

I like the optimism, but that's a longshot anyway, and now even more with Scheel out.

He was injured. When he wasn't injured, he got lit up. That's why he rarely played...and eventually transferred. And what are the odds, his stats certainly haven't improved at UNO. Man, I'd say this team's issues have a heck of a lot more to do with inconsistent play and horrendous special teams rather than figuring out if Tomek and Wilkie transferred due to locker room issues...but what do I know?

If this team makes it to a regional, I would be shocked. The only way I see them making the NCAA's is if they win the NCHC tourney. And to do that they'd have to win 2 of 3 against a better team on the road (ouch) and then win two more games against better teams at the Xcel. They have shown that they can play with anyone (including teams much higher than them in standings/PWR), but hoping for 4 wins in two weekends against better opponents would be a tough one for this inconsistent team IMO. That said, I'd love to be proven wrong by this team.
