  1. I think next year's team takes a couple steps forward. One, because our offense/PP can't get any worse. Just not possible. Two, our incoming recruiting class is already more talented than our outgoing players. Three, the rest of the league (and outside of NCHC as well) is losing a ton of players to early departures. Already looking forward to next season. And I'm cheering for UMass at the Frozen Four. It'd be cool to see the title stay in the NCHC, but I really can't cheer for DU or UMD. Let is go East for one season before coming back West next year.
  2. Nice to see these high end local prospects committing.
  3. Agreed. Does anyone else remember Trupp's freshman season exhibition game against Manitoba? When the Manitoba player had a breakaway and Trupp raced behind him, dove, and then lifted the stick and poked the puck away (all while in the air)? That play epitomized Trupp's entire career at UND and he showed it off in his very first game at REA. He showed that he was going to be a special player right then.
  4. Freshman forward Gruden from Miami signed with Ottawa. Had a big 3 goals for Miami this year...must have prepared him for the NHL!
  5. https://www.grandforksherald.com/sports/hockey/4593343-east-grand-forks-defenseman-trey-ausmus-commits-und?fbclid=IwAR07QHq9fOAp0MZcupH6Jv3LNEzeKqA7PoKLMx2HnW1_Qkno4DynrfkrSKg
  6. If the UND hockey team was a stock, you'd have wanted to sell after the 2016 National title. And, if I was speculating, now is when you'd want to be buying the UND hockey team stock.
  7. Our tickets for the Frozen Faceoff (when at the Target Center) were just a few seats away from sprig and his group. He would always make a point to come over during intermission and talk. Very nice man...he will be missed. RIP sprig.
  8. He already had Boeser on his list, unless this Boesser character is a new recruit?
  9. I think UMass makes the final. They looked good in both regional games.
  10. I agree. Haven’t been impressed in any of their games that I’ve seen this year.
  11. They posted the big upset PWR rankings on Twitter: -Holy Cross (21) over UMN (2) in 2006 -Bemidji State (37) over Notre Dame (2) in 2009 -RIT (25) over Denver (2) in 2010 -RIT (38) over Minnesota State (1) in 2015 -Ferris State (30) over SCSU (2) in 2016 -Air Force (27) over SCSU (1) in 2018 -AIC (31) over SCSU (1) in 2019 Holy Cross was actually the highest ranked PWR team from the upsets, but it was the first of the #4 seed over #1 seed upsets, so it was huge at the time. Going strictly by PWR, the RIT over Mankato in 2015 was the "biggest upset". RIT has twice been the winner in these upsets...and SCSU has been the loser three times (every time as the #1 or #2 overall seed)...ouch.
  12. Talk about playing with your head. 2-1 AIC
  13. One more period to redeem this for SCSU.
  14. I’d be pretty surprised if that happens. They didn’t look great today or in their games against UND. Anything is possible though.
  15. The Westin Michaud grad transfer from CC prospect is intriguing...I hope Brad is giving him a look/offer. He always stood out when UND played CC. He also would have led UND in both goals and pts with his numbers from this year...
  16. Unsurprising. Man what an underwhelming season he had after many media and fans were predicting some big things from him this season. I sure thought he’d put up better numbers and be more of a factor for BC. If he can’t produce at NCAA level, what makes him think he will at higher levels? Kid needed another season at least.
  17. Berry wouldn’t make it through the weekend.
  18. Thank you Colton! Agreed, defense and goalie should be set...now time for the offense to step up.
