  1. Dang, if this is true...let's roll. Large $ for KEM is mega bucks. Like...let's get McKenna NIL.
  2. Yeah for sure. That's not a decision you make just based on a "hope" of getting Hak. You talk to Hak prior to the decision and find out.
  3. Man, the whole Fire Berry thread was people saying that the divided locker room was due to Berry, or how players were upset about how he handled the Jammer situation, or how players respected Dane more. Who knows at this point. Hopefully this coaching decision is made soon and the team can start to move forward in a positive manner. And hopefully we can retain enough important pieces from this years team. We'll see.
  4. Woah woah. No copyright on that statement? Not saying the players should have a huge say…but the question would be will more key players stay or bolt should Dane get the nod?
  5. That was such a prick move on his part. Agreed, no respect for him after that. It gave me joy when UW still couldn’t put it together with his mixed UW/MSUM roster.
  6. Kunz signed: https://abbotsford.canucks.com/news/abbotsford-canucks-sign-jackson-kunz-to-a-one-year-ahl-contract
  7. Another goalie of the week award for Heil:
  8. If Hak is the guy, I'd love to see him add St Clair/Smaby as an assistant and then add Bryn as a GM role like has been mentioned. Get the program back to being a national contender over the next half decade and then pass the torch to one of the young guys.
  9. MafiaMan's quote in the post above yours should give you the answer you're looking for on Eades.
  10. If rumors are true that Bear is coming in, that is monster news. Winnipeg kid that most have pegged in top 15 for the draft. He may slip a bit with his achilles injury but he would be a huge boost for next year's team depending on who stays.
  11. Application deadline is the 26th...in two days. Which means that this process had already begun weeks ago and they already have their guy.
  12. Wonder if he could still be at UND next season…Achilles surgery recovery around 9-12 months or so? Not sure if he already had surgery or not but would assume so.
  13. Not a bad parting gift...half a mil to go relax for a bit.
  14. Yeah the rumors were that the locker room was divided and that the players had more respect for Jackson supposedly. I guess we’ll see how this all shakes out.
  15. Nothing like a classic Youngblood quote.
  16. I'd hope that he'd still honor his commitment regardless. But he had already opened up recruitment once before (originally a BU commit)...so anything is certainly possible. Absolutely need Zellers and Laurila here this fall still. Hopefully Jackson is working the scene behind closed doors with both recruits and current players.
  17. I am unsure of how that works exactly with the coaching change exemption. And when does the portal period end...or does it? Hopefully Schloss can do some digging and find that answer.
  18. We were ahead of Western last year though. And then this year they brought in 17 new players and took it to the entire league. We're gonna lose some players because of this coaching change, I have no doubt. But if the new coach can recruit and can sway some studs from the portal/CHL, there's no reason that we can't see an improved UND team on the ice next year.
  19. Needs to be done quickly then though. I'm all for a national search. But you can't let it drag on for weeks and weeks when the portal period opens in 7 days.
  20. The end of season task that Berry needed to address is the same as what interim Jackson and new coach hire will need to do: Top priority is to hold on to Boisvert & Livanavage. Keep James & recruit Zellers if at all possible as well.
  21. We have the best shot blocker in the nation. Check!
  22. 100% for sure it was. Get a new coach that utilizes those players and their skillsets and you know the chippah commits will follow.
  23. My only requests for the new coach: Go back to the Speed Kills era of Sioux hockey. No more chipping it off the glass as a breakout strategy. No more dump and chase as a zone entry strategy. Let the skill players USE their skill.
