Scouts coming out to check out Verhoeff: https://www.grandforksherald.com/sports/und-hockey/scouts-are-flocking-to-und-hockey-games-this-season?fbclid=IwY2xjawNmTgxleHRuA2FlbQIxMQABHubuhoIRF4-zPiRZLieU2WRNSb1vCV3SP03b5o4yUe-eiBE7VqbbdN-bKTd4_aem_zGXb9F_P-aVQO-jIgmosMw -
Nice! Much sooner than originally reported. Hopefully he gets back into game shape quickly.

Source?

We might be moving a couple hours away from Oxford...if that happens I'll go to the UND/Miami series each year. What is the deal with Skyline? I see such conflicting reports on it...people either LOVE it or HATE it. To be fair, it's mainly Schloss that gives it so much love.

Minnesota @ UND - Saturday night game thread
brianvf replied to streetsahead's topic in Men's Hockey
It's one game. The first three games of the season, I would say they looked like a completely different team than the last few Berry years. Better speed, better passing, more relentless on pucks & forechecking, etc. Then they had one not as good game when the other team played their best defensive game of the season in a rivalry game. Let's see how the boys respond on Friday and Saturday against Clarkson. I'm guessing they'll look more like they did in the first 3 games of the season rather than the Sat UMN game. -
Strinden needs to chill out a bit if that's the case. Or get sat a game for Klee if needed?
-
With Clarkson's horrible start, these are a couple of must win games for UND. Need to go out there and take care of business, plain and simple. -Need to get the PP back on track. -Would like to see a couple of the guys get on the scoresheet and pick up their confidence...guys like Josephson, Menghini, Kernan, etc. -Rebound games for Liver and Homer...both struggled a little on Sat. Any chance we see Spunar in one of these games? Beat the teams you're supposed to beat. Go Sioux!

Wiebe and Jax comment on the PP: https://www.grandforksherald.com/sports/und-hockey/unds-power-play-cools-off-in-series-split-with-minnesota -
Game winning OT goal plus he uses a bubble? Sounds like the perfect UND player.
-
UND should take notes from SCSU on PP...the Huskies once again have a dominant PP. All four of their goals were scored on the PP in a 4-0 win over Vermont. Also:
-
Dang what a turnaround from their 11-2 win yesterday for UST.
-
Current NPI if season ended today. Miami and UNO both #1 seeds.

RIT just crushed Clarkson 6-2 for their first win of the season. Clarkson off to a 1-3 start. Need to take care of business out there in both games to avoid a NPI killing. -

These three points. You score on 1 or 2 of those PP chances earlier in the game and this game looks entirely different. Homer will want back both those 2 goals. And unfortunately those goals changed the entire game. Work on that PP hard for Clarkson. I still think this UND team is more talented and will go further this season than UMN. -

It’s a young offense. Gonna take time to develop. They’ll get there. -

You didn't say anything the last 3 games when the guys were putting up 6, 5, and 5 goals. -

Two posts as well. Man, if our PP could do anything, we'd be in business. -

This isn't ticky-tacky penalties, these are just stupid. Quit the undisciplined crap and stop giving them PP chances. -
I'd take another Panzer.

Just like last night, UMN scores on their first sog.
