2025 NCAA tourney is underway. BU/OSU have already begun.

I’m assuming ASU has a pile of “back door” portal transfers already worked out and that’s why we’re seeing all these ASU portal entrants. They lose a ton of SR/GR players from this year, plus four portal entrants already.

Found clarification on the portal exemption when there is a head coach change. So essentially it won't change much at all on timing for UND players to enter the portal due to Berry being fired last Sunday. We'll see how this all shakes out.

I thought he was planning on playing a full USHL schedule next year then coming to UND the following year. It's a big jump from MN HS to NCAA...

Agreed. Laurila coming in, Zmolek returning. We'll see how the rest of the d-corps looks once 4 and others make up their minds. Bring in Laurila and maybe a JR/SR out of the portal if needed.

Yeah, he was out for the entire 3rd period...and maybe the 2nd? I don't recall if the injury was during the 1st or 2nd.

Not really sure that he was ready TBH, but as a free agent I understand that they wanted to get him into their system.

Maybe the KEM NIL mega load can retain him. If not, if we can keep the bulk of the rest and end up losing the SR class & Perron out of this crazy mess…next years team looks pretty darn ok “on paper”. Just need a decent leader to bring them all together. If that’s Dane and he does well, then alright. Also…he needs to make sure Zellers and Laurila make it to campus still.

Which part was inaccurate in his post? The part about Sacha staying or the part above Jake going pro?

Yeah for sure. That's not a decision you make just based on a "hope" of getting Hak. You talk to Hak prior to the decision and find out.

Man, the whole Fire Berry thread was people saying that the divided locker room was due to Berry, or how players were upset about how he handled the Jammer situation, or how players respected Dane more. Who knows at this point. Hopefully this coaching decision is made soon and the team can start to move forward in a positive manner. And hopefully we can retain enough important pieces from this years team. We'll see.

Woah woah. No copyright on that statement? Not saying the players should have a huge say…but the question would be will more key players stay or bolt should Dane get the nod?

That was such a prick move on his part. Agreed, no respect for him after that. It gave me joy when UW still couldn’t put it together with his mixed UW/MSUM roster.

If Hak is the guy, I'd love to see him add St Clair/Smaby as an assistant and then add Bryn as a GM role like has been mentioned. Get the program back to being a national contender over the next half decade and then pass the torch to one of the young guys.
