If they post the associate position on Monday, that could be a sign of that. Unless Herter absolutely loves Kalamazoo, I could see him making another lateral move as Assoc HC...he held that position at UMD before leaving for the same position at WMU. Wouldn't be too far of a stretch to do that same move to head back to his alma mater. I think they'd be ok. They came to UND on the same FR class in 88 and from everything I've heard, are pretty good buds.

Meh. He didn't put up many points, but he was by far the youngest player on the Force...probably one of the youngest in the entire USHL? Jax probably asked him if he was fully committed to UND and he couldn't answer, as he went to a different HS every single year. He would have been a college player that you wouldn't be surprised if he portals to 3-4 different schools in his NCAA career.

For sure this fall: Zellers, Klee, Zakreski, Laurila Maybe this fall: Schultz, O'Neill, Lindberg, Heil, Simpson I guess not surprising with how he went thru high schools.

I still think that Jax & Co have a couple high end CHL guys that will slot into some of those C/W openings.

On the flipside, Menghini could be a bigger loss for UMD than he expects...he led the team in +/- both his FR and SO seasons. He was their best 200ft forward that can also score goals. I think he'll fit in quite nicely at UND.

This game is completely different than the DU/WMU game. This is like pond hockey. Should be an interesting matchup on Saturday whoever wins this game tonight.

WMU deserved to win that game with how they played for the first 45 minutes. Absolutely impossible to feel sorry for DU players with all the luck they’ve gotten in the tourney over the years. Go WMU against whoever they play.

Coach of the year couldn’t get them to even play the full 60. It should have been 5-2 final. WMU didn’t capitalize on their chances when they controlled play for the entire first two periods.
