  1. Dagger

    2015 season

Can he play right away? How many years of eligibility does he have? Is there more to the story? Why is he coming here. What is the connection?
  2. I don't think we want to be the University of North Dakota Nodaks. That just doesn't roll off the tongue very well.
  3. Dagger

    2015 season

With Hartley, who left who? Is their a story behind Hilton and Webb not coming? Is that the reason they seem to be pursuing a CB hard?
  4. NDSU has a big circle around this game too. A very big circle. The reality is if UND stayed within 20 I might be surprised. Until proven differently NDSU is just a lot better. That is the reality. I hope UND proves me wrong.
  5. It seems like most of time is being spent talking about the North Dakota(no name) option or the Roughrider option. They do seem to be the 2 favorites. There is a faction of people that only talk about the negatives of the two. If too much time is spent on the negatives of the two, people might just avoid those 2 options and vote for something else. That might scare me.
  6. I don't see using the Roughrider nickname as any kind of deal breaking conflict. I think that their are a group of people that will argue with any possible proposed nickname because they just want to leave it as North Dakota. I think we can find fault with any possible nickname. There is just going to have to be some compromise. Hopefully when this is done we all can continue to support our University and its teams.
  7. That letter to the editor is just another example of the fan base that think we should be Sioux forever and that the Sioux name might actually come back. I think should be very honored to associate with Teddy Roosevelt. Some of the propaganda is getting tiring. It is time to move on.
  8. A lot of people seem disappointed that the committee didn't come up with a better list of names. I don't think that it is that easy to come up with a name that someone won't be ripping. I have yet to hear a suggestion from anyone that a majority would agree on. For all the people complaining, what is this magical name that will solve all the controversy?
  9. It seems like people aren't going to be happy no matter what happens. I think it is becoming apparent that Roughriders or no name is going to be the new name. I think Roughriders is going to be the choice. People are already saying we could of done that right away and saved a lot of time and money. The problem with that is if they hadn't gone through the process people would of really gone ballistic. They would of been a lot madder than they are going to be now. As fans we should have to try to support the committee. They are good people. They are trying their best in a very difficult situation.
  10. Roughriders
  11. Sorry for my terminology. I was intending to just speak for myself. I for one do believe having a nickname is very important for a lot of reasons. All of which have been brought up many times.
  12. For all of the above reasons we do not want "North Dakota" to be included in the final vote. It is time to move on. We do not want to be a school without basically having a nickname. For the most part the main reason to just use North Dakota would be to say we are unofficially still the Sioux. It is definitely time to move on.
  13. I like Sundogs or Roughriders. Definitely not just North Dakota. Too boring. Can't do enough things with it.
  14. Because of his loyalty he will be a fan favorite. A definite big welcome to Iwarri Smith.
  15. The bottom line is we just haven't been as much of a 3 point threat like we used to be. We need to have more snipers. We are easier to defend lately.
  16. If we could get a speed guy to along with Arrington we could be pretty good. If somehow we could get good QB play this year too, I don't think a shot at the playoffs is out of the question. Big if's. A guy can always dream.
  17. The Sharp situation makes me think UND knows their is real good chance they will be ringing in another RB and they probably know who it will be. Did Sharp leave or did we give him a good hint that he probably was going to be low on the list of RB's for playing time. Who left who? I have always had the feeling he wasn 't going to be good enough and the coaching staff didn't think he was in their long term plans.

    Spring GDT

I see where KVLY didn't even send a reporter to cover UND's spring game. Impressive.
  19. The WDAY boys will be at the NDSU spring game . WDAY only covers UND football during the 3 hours when the UND football game is being played.
  20. All things considered, when you look at the large geographical size of the Big Sky Billings would be a great location for UND fans. Not perfect but very doable.
  21. If Baldwin committed you would think that Baker isn't coming. Baldwin would be a junior and I assume could play right away. Baker would be a sophomore and would have to sit out a year. Am I right on the years for the two?
  22. Does the fact that we are offering a Juco guard mean that Baker is out of the picture. Or does it mean nothing?
  23. The one comparison that can be made that might reveal something. You can go over and check BV if your curious, but I would say that rarely(or not very often) does a UND fan post on BV, but there are tons and tons of posts by NDSU fans on this website. It is not even close which fan base is more concerned about the other. It is very apparent that the fans to the south have UND on their minds all the time. I guess it is safe to say that NDSU fans think the rivalry is very much alive.
  24. Bingo. That pretty much tells you all you need to know. Why do we have so many Bison fans posting on here when they don't even know what they are talking about? It would be easier to carry on a conversation if they would at least present information that at least close to reality They lose their credibility when defending themselves with total baloney.
  25. I believe the UND/NDSU football will stay a big deal in football as long as each school attempts to keep a strong program. UND has a great football tradition and after a dip in the road it will return to normal success. It will remain a big deal as long as Fargo and Grand Forks decide to leave their city locations 75 miles apart in the same state. It is quite likely they will stay where they are. As long as they keep playing it will be a big deal. You can count on it. In the same conferences is even a bigger deal. I will give you that.
