Is he hanging up his football spikes and is he not pursuing a college degree then?

Watching how Jacksonville plays in all aspects just goes to show how screwed up the bracketing for the playoffs really was. They can't even hand the ball off.

Watched Sportscenter this morning. They didn't even mention the FCS Championship game. Why does FCS get no respect?

My misunderstanding. I thought it was said that Hammer was going to do the rest of the broadcasts this year. You guys are getting way of topic. It has nothing to do with the importance of the game. Never mind. Carry on.

What does that have to do with anything. The game will be on television and his commitment is to do televised UND games in Grand Forks. Who said it was the most important game of the year? Your getting off topic. The fans and the players will treat it as a regular game. They don't want to lose.

Didn't Hammer say he was going to do the TV broadcasts for UND hockey the rest of the year? Apparently he won't be doing the January 9th home game cause he says he will be in Frisco following the Bison that week. Either you are doing the UND games or you are not. His commitment seems a little insincere. In fairness maybe he is going to be there that week and come back on Saturday for the hockey game. I guess that is possible.

Bernstine has done a lot of good things but he also has had a half dozen dumb plays. All in all he has a lot of potential.

No Hooker or Crandall tonight. It could get ugly.

My how things change. You now how have Dan Hammer(former TV play by play guy for UND football and TV hockey play by play guy for UND ) gushing all over the Bison today on KFGO radio. Joel Heitkamp (former UND backer) and Jack Michaels our very recent radio play by play guy also gushing all overthe Bison on the radio. Scott Miller used to be our play by play guy for UND sports of course now has been with NDSU for a long time. Brian Shawn is the TV announcer for Bison football. I believe Brian is a UND grad and was almost a sideline reporter for UND a couple years ago. Ed Schultz was an announcer for both programs. These media people sure change their colors in a hurry sometimes.

No doubt UND should of been in the playoff field after watching Richmond. 18,100 was the attendance at the Fargo Dome tonight. That is 1000 short of capacity. Winning National titles must be losing a little enthusiasm.

Every year we have some freshmen leave the program. They might be decent players but they might be thinking it is going to be tough to crack the lineup and they are insecure as to how much playing time they think they will get in the future. They all want to play right away. I am not sure what is going on in this case. Every player is different. Some need more attention than others. I think Bubba will handle it appropriately.

I was just poking a little fun at how some athletes don't seem to value the word commitment as seriously as some people think they should. The kid probably had a vey valid reason for switching his commitment. Maybe the word commitment isn't the right word that should be used to say you are going to be attending a certain school and joining their athletic program.. Any ideas our there on what would be a more appropriate word?

Hartford said he was extremely excited to say he had committed to SDSU. What words de he use when he committed to UND a week ago. I wonder what he will say when he commits to another school next week?

Whenever a player backs out of a commitment, whether it is to come to UND or go someplace else, I don't like recruits that do that. It doesn't mean he is a bad character person because there could be valid reasons, but it still doesn't sit right with me. Maybe there is more to story and it will come out.

We only want guys that really want to be here. Flippers or usually floppers. I have no idea how good he was, but we don't need those type of personality characteristics. Don't need to waste one second of my thoughts on him.

Is their a noon fan luncheon tomorrow?

So you would assume we preferred Merz would of stayed? He was a true freshman this year. Do we ever pull redshirts off freshman lineman? He apparently was highly thought of in recruiting. I wonder what the coaches thought of him after spending a year in the program.

Did Camy play much this year? Was Merz a big part of their plans for the future? Are either of them a big loss or are the two very much replaceable?

Was Coach Jones going to be on the coaches radio show tonight?

Last year Jawon Johnson came from NMMI also. I can't remember. What was his impact on the team last year?

So what does everyone think about the status of our women's program? With the players we have in the system and the 2 that we have coming in next year do we have what it takes or is their reason for concern?

So SDSU is going after recruits that have already to committed to UND. Do you think they are offering because they think their is a decent chance they would switch to UND or is that just what is done these days in recruiting?

Omaha came within an eyelash of beating the Gophers last week too. The Gophers apparently are going to be losing quite a few this year.

Why are Bison fans continually worried about UND?

Am I missing something? Doesn't this seem like an odd week for Bison fans to be obsessed with UND. There all over this website. What is the fascination?
