Miserable first half by UND. Avants has had a tough 3 game road trip, and Crandall has been worse than Avants. Shanks undisciplined. Hooker also had a bad half. No where to go but up in the second half.

The announcers at the Richmond game today say they will be playing an outdoor game in Grand Forks. If they are right I suppose it will be at Memorial Stadium. Surprising.

FREETHROW shooting!!!!!! Crandall's poor play. The other team got a lot of friendly rolls in the last 5 minutes. Oh well. The very last possession was a mess. Needed a better shot than that. Quinton's free throw miss was extremely huge in the last 20 seconds. You know we are in trouble when our good shooters are missing free throws at the end.

Shanks's defensive self control reminds me a lot of last year.

Crandall not good this half. It looks like a team that only played D2 or lower teams.

At 25.00 a pop and our past experience with attendance expectations(no free bees from the boss) everyone needs readjust your expectations because it ain't going to be what it should be. Hockey fans will stay home to watch every second of the game live from New York . The true fans that go will just need to be extra loud. Go UND.

Can we finally put the love affair with UNI to rest. MVFC backers have given them a lot more attention than they deserve. The same can be said for Montana backers. Hopefully I will never hear the argument putting down UND because they didn't have to play Montana again. We didn't play EWU and EWU didn't play UND either. Time to move on.

If SDSU does win the debate is on. We would both be conference champs. We would have one more win than SDSU. We have a common opponent in Cal Poly and they lost to them and we beat them. End of season performance, we have won 9 straight. I think we would stay ahead of them. Especially considering what the committee did to us last year. We also remember this is the NCAA. So hold your breath.

I know we have quite few commits already. Now with winning the Big Sky I hope were going to be able to have even more success on the recruiting trails. When you look at how young we are, we would certainly seem to be a pretty attractive team to sign on with. Our next signing class should be spectacular.

I agree with you. I just think we need to be a little realistic. We have a little smaller group to work with. I do think with work we could eventually fill the joint for a lot of key games. This is fun conversation. So different than it has been the last few years.

Remember Fargo doesn't have hockey. We have 12,000 fans that sink a lot of their money into hockey every game. You just have to be realistic about how many fans we can regularly put into the football games. We definitely can build our fan base for football but it is only going to grow in relation to the size community we have. There is only so many fans and businesses to go around. What a great time be a UND sports fan though. If NDSU had another sport on campus that was regularly putting 12,000 fans in the seats their football ticket sales might be affected too. Go UND.

Minimally Bubba has to suspend him for at least one game. Public scrutiny would demand that. Bubba will do what's right.

It strikes me funny that the MVFC is all of a sudden interested in adding UND. It makes me think that they might be speculating Youngstown, Western Illinois or someone else might be thinking seriously about leaving the conference. I have always heard that Youngstown might want out.

Unfortunately, the VB team and some of its fans get the short end of the deal.

So the last volleyball game of the year which could clinch the conference champion and the home site for the post season tournament is at 11:00 , right before the football game at 1:00.. Not great scheduling. It will definitely affect how many people are at the volleyball game.

I see where Root Sports has Montana on again tomorrow. Root Sports needs to start representing the Big Sky better.

Sounds like a 2 or 3 start time would be a good compromise for most fans.

And that lone D1 game is NDSU which was a relatively late add on. Not much of a reward to the players and fans of what could be a really great team. I know they want money games but come on. There has to be a way to get more than one D1 nonconference game at home. NDSU looks like they have 4 home games against D1 teams(if Waldorf is D1) It seems like were promised almost every year for a better non conference schedule and it rarely happens. Jones must not be a very good negotiator.

Any recruiting news out of the weekend?

In post game chatter by Fargo Media yesterday they were wondering whether UNI would still be in the playoffs even after their 5th loss yesterday. How many times does UNI have to lose before they are eliminated from playoff conversation?

Coach Pryor said he would like to play a home and away match with NDSU every year. NDSU said no to that request. I don't blame them.

I actually am joking. I know polls are funny at times. . We were clearly the better team when we played Cal poly and Stony Brook needed a blocked punt and touchdown run back to beat us at their place. I have no problem with our ranking.
