Let me get this straight Bison fans are still whining about a contract that was signed in 2004 on a Sioux Sports message board. A contract that included a buyout of $10K for a home and home series. You cannot make it up - this is all on Taylor quit whining - you keep telling us you have moved on - do use a favor and please do it - BUTMOVEONALREADY!

They played SDSU with one player above 6'5" due to injuries plus that SDSU team lost at home to Montana. All sports are about match-ups UND matches up well with NDSU plus the NDSU coach is stupid enough to go man to man all night with UND versus using a zone.

With the addition of Idaho next, Golf should be the next sport for the Big Sky. The leagues total would be 16 - Women: Basketball, Cross Country, Golf, Soccer, Softball, Tennis, Track & Field (Indoor and Outdoor) and Volleyball Mens: Basketball, Cross Country, Golf, Football, Tennis, Track & Field (Indoor and Outdoor) UND has 21 - those above and Hockey (M/W) and Swimming (M/W) and Baseball

I am interested to see what Palandech has at spring practice. Based on what I saw last year QB is wide open. I want him to get a strong look.
-
Nice draw for the girls SUU and Montana St in the other bracket. They were 4-0 against EWU and ISU.

As the AD, you should support all sports equally.

Don't you have a hockey coach to get fired - go fire up the Fire Hak thread.

Not sure Darrell is ready for the hot seat yet let's go with UND Football and Darrell as his top assistant - to help them out I will offer them a weekend at a Holiday Inn Express of there choice prior to next year championship game if they are hired. Just another branch of the great SiouxSports.com coaching tree - Phil Jackson, Bill Fitch, Jimmy Rodgers and Darrell,

Congrats to NDSU and coach Miles. Not all teams can do this and it looks like they might make it back this year after three seasons at or below .500. And lets take a look at the fabled NDSU Woodside team - they ran through the always tough Summit League with tournament games against (Centenary 294, SUU 266 and Oakland 122) and had a great nonconference run with wins against: Mary, Moorehead, Mayville, N. Arizona (293), Georgia Southern (296), Valley City, N. Arizona (293), Utah Valley (237) and Milwaukee (134). Again, NDSU had a nice team but don't make them out to be something they aren't either. They had two nice tournament/non-conference wins (Milwaukee and Oakland) that is all. I think this years NDSU team is much better than the Woodside team. I agree with everyone on this board. The team has been inconsistent and is capable of playing at a very high and well low level. But, let's keep some perspective - please.

My point is at the Mid Major level it takes time to build a program. UND is just starting 2nd yr eliable and 2 yr in AQ conference. Look at the talent Jones has landed in the that 2 yr span. - guard from Milwaukee - forward from Texas Tech - center from Utah St. - Mr Basketball from Minnesota Hooker plus several other transfers.. Give him sometime to see what he can do.. the team is up a down. It is his first class at D-1. I think three straight post seasons and a potentially a 4th is not too bad a start. Can it be better sure, but not bad.

OK Darrell I'll play - Saul inherited that NCAA team (the coach responsible for that is now in the Big 10 - Saul an't going to the Big 10) and since then 6th, 7th, 4th and 3rd in the Summit. He did win the Summit this year and looks like they have a good chance at going to the NCAA. NOTE: UND and Jones beat that team badly and UND has a very good chance of making a run in the Big Sky also. So, what is your point... you're just made that UND lost a game on the road to a bad team. It happens get over it it is not the end of the world. Let the season run its course.
-
2007 was the first year of Summit and being apart of AQ conference. So, it took him about 4 years to make that transition. This is Jone's 2nd year in an AQ conference and he has finish 3rd twice and made a very nice run in his first conference tourney pushing Weber St. in the semi's. He deserves a couple of more years. Come on Daryl you'r better than that - you can not simply compare the last 3 years for both programs. Being playoff eligible for 5 and in a AQ conference in 6 compared to 2 is a big difference.
-
Seriously you need to settle down... here is the transition record for SDSU. 2004-05.........Scott Nagy....................................10 ............18 2005-06.........Scott Nagy.....................................9 .............20 2006-07.........Scott Nagy.....................................6 .............24 2007-08.........Scott Nagy.....................................8 .............21 2008-09.........Scott Nagy....................................13 ............20 2009-10.........Scott Nagy....................................14 ............16 2010-11.........Scott Nagy....................................19 ............12 2011-12.........Scott Nagy....................................27 .............8 2012-13.........Scott Nagy....................................25 ............10 He had a year stretch of 60 and 119. It takes time to build a program.

They have nice buyouts and UND uses the money to buy Pioneer League home games.
-
The defense could use some work.. if shooting goes cold they could get back in the game in a hurry.. Go Sioux.
-
I think Schuler hurt his arm during the game. Again, Stefan would have been nice.

Congrats to the Seniors - now finish out the season by taking the next games and getting the #2 seed. The Big Sky tournament is going to be great. Everyone is so evenly matched - going to be some upsets this year. NOTE: I was really impressed with EWU. Really young team with some nice talent and they might not make the tournament this year. Mafia - good grief...
-
It was close but IMO not out of bounds and ref was looking right at it.
-
anyone know if the game is on TV in the MSP market? I have comcast.
-
http://www.midcosportsnet.com/aboutus/contactus/ Not much of contact. Midco must not like getting too much feedback.
-
I sent an email to Mid-Co sports network about the switch that took place on Big Sky TV. Sounds like a great end to the game wish I could have seen it.
-
Best of luck to the Seniors today

I think that will change with the addition of Idaho to the conference. You have a critical mass of four/six of the Big Sky schools in the upper northwest. A location like Boise (central location for EWU, UI, ISU, UM, MSU and WSU), Salt Lake, Portland, Seattle or Spokane (really close for EWU, UI, UM) would be close for several schools. I think Vagas has 4 conference tournaments already. Not sure if another one would work.
