  1. Next to leave.... Fort Worth... plus I thought that Oakland and Oral Roberts left complaining about Sioux Falls. Hell, KC left for the WAC... of course the Southland conference fell apart so Oral Bob came back, but for how long? Plus, you have MVC and Horizon looking to grow again very soon... next up Denver, Omaha, KC, Oral Bob or/and FW

    2017 Season

Given the lack of depth at ILB - can you switch to a 4 - 3 vs 3 - 4. UND has way more depth at D-line and other team would not be prepared for it..
  3. The MVFC does have an advantage over the Big Sky with 4 schools NDSU, SDSU, USD and UNI offering COA vs 1 school UND. As time goes on and COA is around for 5 years it is going to make a bigger difference. I think this is year 3 right now and 4 out of 5 are ranked 2, 3, 27, 22,11 in last weeks rankings. USD on verge of being ranked.
  4. These guys look a little professional for the Summit League
  5. So, you saying the Summit will have football in 3 years and conference will have the following in 3 years: Football UND - NDSU USD - SDSU UM - MSU EWU - UI (Idaho) Non Football: Denver, Omaha And WIU, ORU and Fort Wayne with be gone by next June.
  6. But, IUPUI does not have baseball. According to news reports last night the school had baseball.
  7. I would put Idaho with that group giving its proximity to the Montana schools and it is a land grant school.
  8. Well Horizon is next.... my guess is PUFW and IUPUI are moving to the HL. SL down to 8 and they need baseball - what do they do? UNC and NMSU Travel Partners NMSU - ORU UNC - DU WIU-Omaha UND-NDSU USD-SDSU
  9. Oh, I am not offended by the new nickname.. I just think it is a very poor nickname. Two totally different things. I was absolutely ready to retire the nickname. It's too bad they didn't really retire it - they just did a half ass job and it shows.
  10. No, it comes down to the fact that I was really looking for something different. A unique nickname that would lead to new traditions and allow for the respectful retirement of the old nickname and its traditions. But all we got was the "Fighting Hawks!!!" which is very similar to "Fighting Sioux" which has lead people to simply substitute "Hawks" for "Sioux" and the mere morphing of traditions/cheers. So, it comes off as tired and lazy. I really thought "Nokota" or something along that line of thought would have been a great opportunity. It would challenge everything and people would then need to retire the old traditions and cheers. Now, it's just kind of sad and generic .... and it does inspire people to move on because you are constantly reminded of the way it used to be.. which was great.
  11. If it died - how the hell did we end up with that turd of the nickname..
  12. I am not fighting a war.... I absolutely support the University and the players.. I am a champions club member. I have up'd my support level and I am looking forward to the football season with my season tickets. I love the play on the field. Please don't confuse my support vs my opinion of the logo/nickname. Plain and simple in my opinion the logo/nickname suck. Before you throw me in the Sioux Forever group. I don't chant Sioux Forever.
  13. The nickname and logo are still awful. Interlocking ND with North Dakota would have been so much better. We should have let more time pass and then come up with something new. Think about it the Hawks gained steam on campus because "How About We Keep Sioux" was some type of rebellion against the NCAA on campus. Boy did we show them.. how did that work out!?!!? Fighting Hawks nickname and logo sucks..
  14. I have no doubt the NDSU is in Title IX compliance. They just choose a different path to meet Title IX. Compliance to Title IX can take many different forms. The path that NDSU takes has positives and negatives. One of the disadvantages is that you really don't have control over what sports you offer. If there is enough interest in returned surveys that NDSU distributes annually. Then NDSU will need to take action to provide an opportunity. Now does that mean a scholarship sport. I am not sure. But, given NDSU's approach to Title IX and the aggressive nature of women's hockey. I can see a path to NDSU looking at college women's hockey. Will it happened - unknown. http://www.law.du.edu/documents/sports-and-entertainment-law-journal/issues/01/williams-title-ix.pdf Section: IV. New Legislation - in the article does a nice job of explaining the third prong.

    2017 Season

Here is a nice write up from last year on Ketteringhaul. Sounds like a nice opportunity. http://missoulian.com/sports/college/montana/sac-state-qb-nate-ketteringham-product-of-last-year-s/article_cea02cdb-70bc-505f-b250-999045a6a557.html
  16. So, without relocation UND and NDSU are at the same % interesting.

Sometimes It takes a lot to ask for help.. I hope he is in a good place and has the support he needs to be successful for his family and himself. Best of luck to this young man.
  18. I don't know something is missing - maybe WIH for NDSU. All they have to do is fill out a survey. It should balance out NDSU quite nicely. FYP. That would completely level the playing field between UND and NDSU. Game on boys.
  19. 6-7 220 lbs F - injury problems - I have no problem with that..
  20. That too.. opps - well let's hope for a big - please be a big...
  21. I like the way you think.... but I wasn't sure if he was talking about a recruit or Jones contract???
  22. Well we are going a conference with Oral Roberts???? Really.. plus all this drama of everyone wanting to leave. Good grief.. I guess other options could be NMSU, Little Rock, UNC or UMKC
  23. I agree to a point, but I really think UND's season come down to the OL... they have got to get it going!!!
