The hype machine was rolling for this years team and I wish the defense machine was rolling instead. I, for one, am going to remain very skeptical about next years team until they prove otherwise. Simply changing your calender doesn't automatically improve things. Sometimes changing your coaches doesn't improve things either.

Maybe we could get the rules changed so that we get 1/2 point for hitting the pipe? Seriously though, that is his only weakness. His shots are always close but not quite.

Do you REALLY think the "D" can hold any team to 34? I would sure like a sip of whatever you are drinking.

What an intellectual way to get even with the NCAA, refuse to call the division FCS. They took away your nickname, so you won't use their nomenclature. It's time to move on and quit living in the past, it only makes you look (more) foolish.

I heard this morning that the Gophs signed with South Dakota State to play them twice in the next 5 years. That's not good for UND getting a game sandwiched in there. EDIT: Here is a link. Looks like they will play in 2015 and in 2019 http://www.inforum.com/event/article/id/377476/publisher_ID/1/

At the time the hockey people were all opposed to it because it would have bled off needed funds and a move up would overshadow their D1 program. The basketball people didn't seem to have the heart to venture into the world of D1 recruiting, and Rog Thomas correctly foresaw the end of the North Central Conference if schools started moving up and wanted to prevent it. At this point, it's no use worrying about what might have been.

This is the type of weekend where you hope/expect some new blood to step up and have a couple of breakout games. Great way for the lesser known ones to showcase what they've got and I doubt we'll be disappointed.
