IIRC Hedberg was on the SIU staff when Bubba was there and went to NDSU at about the same time Bubba went to UND. Maybe Bubba should have brought him here. Hedberg definitely did some good things at NDSU.

Well years ago I always thought when it came to beer Schmidt was better than Pabst. At least Big Mouths anyway.

Kupchella was the guy I remember knocking 1AA. I said he wasn't true D1 like D1 hockey and questioned if it was a higher level of competition compared to D2. I think the UND football fans felt otherwise and wanted to move up.

What was really sad was the denial UND had in the early years of NDSU having success. The head in the sand approach while claiming that FCS (1AA) wasn't real D1 athletics seemed like it backed the administration into a corner and couldn't admit they were wrong.

I agree. Mussman was coach during move up transition and we didn't have much to lose. When Bubba took over everyone expected great things. Reality was much different.

I was about to comment on how much the Bison improved by stealing Landry. Until now I wasn't sure Landry was all that great.

That's probably why Entz was "encourage" to move on.

Wentz looked like his usual self and was absolute dogsheet out there today. After today he won't get a contract with any team to even be a jock holder. Wentz has always been overrated but today was downright laughable.

From the sounds of it Frisco may possibly never host again.

If county estimates are scheduled for March, why did they release the big counties like Cass now? Sure is an odd way to do it.

I do sorta think they deliberately make the estimates a little low and then when the actual census is done it keeps people from bitching that their city was under counted. By lowballing the estimate when people complain they can point to the estimate and say well the census is higher than the estimate. That said, estimates do show a trend and gives an indication of the direction of future growth.

Well you can be successful like NDSU and SDSU, lose your coaches every few years and have to rebuild, or, you be mediocre and have your coach hang around forever like Bubba. The first is still preferable but still sucks. It will be interesting to see how SDSU handles this.

I see the Census Bureau released new estimates for ND, with the population gaining to almost 800,000. They also released numbers for Burliegh County and Imperial Cass as well as Williams and McKenzie Counties. What I'm wondering is where are the numbers for the rest of the ND counties? They obviously know them since they have a statewide number.
