If county estimates are scheduled for March, why did they release the big counties like Cass now? Sure is an odd way to do it.

I do sorta think they deliberately make the estimates a little low and then when the actual census is done it keeps people from bitching that their city was under counted. By lowballing the estimate when people complain they can point to the estimate and say well the census is higher than the estimate. That said, estimates do show a trend and gives an indication of the direction of future growth.

Well you can be successful like NDSU and SDSU, lose your coaches every few years and have to rebuild, or, you be mediocre and have your coach hang around forever like Bubba. The first is still preferable but still sucks. It will be interesting to see how SDSU handles this.

I see the Census Bureau released new estimates for ND, with the population gaining to almost 800,000. They also released numbers for Burliegh County and Imperial Cass as well as Williams and McKenzie Counties. What I'm wondering is where are the numbers for the rest of the ND counties? They obviously know them since they have a statewide number. Once again it will be the "Haves" versus the "Have Nots" and just like the D2 days the Have Nots will want to keep the numbers as low as possible. I even wonder about the MVFC, outside of the Dakota 4, the rest don't take football seriously. Too many Murray State equivalents.

Some people still don't think FCS is watered down even if the rest of us think so. For next year I'm seeing 7-5 most likely with a small chance of 8-4.

I figure that no news on this front is good news.

Probably a good hire but I'm reserving judgment until I see more staff and some proof on the field. IMO too much of the same old same old.

But after the 3 Dakota schools and one Montana school things drop off fast. There are more Murray State doormats now then there are top FCS programs.

That's not much of a goal. Geez, I'd expect more even in the first year. FCS is watered down. I'd hope for a first round bye or two wins, minimum.

Whoever they hire better be gone in 4 years. If he's good someone should want to steal him, if he's terrible he'd should be moved on. No more 11 year Bubbas.

Buning didn't hire Mussman. It was done by the interim or I think it was co-interims after Buning was moved out.

There's nothing to leak when there's no news. I'm thinking there's a fair amount of second guessing going on as to whom it should be. Hopefully it's because there are several very qualified men.
