I tried to watch the W&M and Richmond game but it was early in the 3rd qtr and I knew I would be an emotional wreck if I watched the rest of the game. I took my dog for a run instead. Great to come back on here and read the thread to see the result.

I won't believe we get a bye unless/until I see it tomorrow. We have a long history of being slighted.
I don't remember the details but the year we won a DII playoff game in Omaha I believe we were top two in region and looking at a bye going into the last weekend. We won and they still dropped us down and sent us on the road in the first round.

If Wichita wanted to be FCS, the MVFC would be begging UND to come aboard. There is no reason to believe that either school want the MVFC right now.
No reason to believe that except that is what UND's president is pursuing.

This is just a silly argument. People have different opinions of what is offensive but I doubt you could find anyone to say that shirt in the Fargodome is not offensive if they were being honest. Depicting anyone or any group in that manner is crude and offensive to 99.9% of humans.
You can certainly find a few of the 'chronically and habitually offended' that would find UND Fighting Sioux gear offensive but not many. Go to the reservations in ND and take note of all the Fighting Sioux clothing you see. Going out on a limb here but you probably won't find many shirts like that moron wore in the same places.

This is essentially the same group that decided we didn't belong in the playoffs last year. I don't expect them to rate us high enough to get a bye this year. In a roundabout way it would be an admission of sorts that they were wrong last year.
I expect we will get the short end of the stick again.

SDSU was garbage to start the year and have been a much better team since then. Cal Poly wouldn't beat them again if they played. UNI was dismantling EW who is the #1-2 team in the big sky and UNI is 4th or 5th. That same 7th place SD team also beat your #3 team. I would take the top teams in the MVFC over the top Big Sky teams all day.
It seems silly to be talking about what almost happened in those games but ignore what did happen.

I fly into the Twin Cities at 9:30 Friday night from Beijing. My wife and I are driving up Saturday morning - leaving at 5:30 am. Gotta get some tailgating in before the game.

Does anyone know how Ellie Veldman is related to Steve and Mark who both played fb at UND in the 80's? There is another brother Greg who played fb at Moorhead St in the early 80's.

I listen to a lot of the games on line. Tim H often says "this is Fighting Hawks hockey" when going to a commercial. I haven't paid attention to know if he does it more during the game.

Everyone had to suspect that Kennedy had another cost saving card to play when he kept all sports. This is the most logical.

Great win. I have been watching and pacing in my hotel in Beijing. Didn't get to see a replay on the fumble that was overturned. Sounded like it was a stretch to overturn it.

2004 First Round game at St. Cloud's Husky Stadium. They had a lead late in the game, then their running back fumbled and we recovered. We ended up tying the game with a FG and won it in double OT with a FG. I was there, great win.
