I’m calling for 300+ yards rushing. Call me selfish, I don’t care!

    Ziebarth with 126

    Seidl with 93

    Langama with 80

    QB with 42

That TD run by Langama was really something.  He just kept grinding and twisting and eventually broke out of the tackle and ran into the endzone.

agreed...a little screen pass with the d line behind him instead of just check down passes would've bee nice...

but yeah...pitter pattered in the hole and sometimes tried to go wide and nothing happened(s)

I made the comment at a game that he couldn't get the corner and about 2 plays later he went around the end for a long one.

i would never used "hot" to describe x's production this year....

My take on him was he'd try to bounce a lot of stuff outside and couldn't shake the guy on the edge so not much success.  I think he did well catching the ball.

I'd assume he means 25M for the whole roster.

Yes for the roster.  The house settlement revenue sharing agreement gives each school around $21M.  I know at UM it is allocating 75% of that to football so $15M-$16M right there.  LSU promised him a $25M per year player pool combining NIL and revenue sharing.

I hope they don’t low ball Rucker otherwise he might stay another year. Living proof that if you dominate at the FCS level you will get noticed and get the $$$$$ offers. That goes for the twins out of Missouri too, play sooner or right away and then see the big $$$$ come

There's just so much money at the upper end of FBS.  I read Lane Kiffin was guaranteed $25M a year for player compensation at LSU.  Unreal.

The 701 Award is used at the discretion of the coaches of the program you choose. Guessing the staff would be smart about who they award what and when so that a kid doesn’t leave after getting paid.

I was told by someone in the know that they get 2% in spring, 2% start of fall and 96% after play in 5th game so can’t leave and take redshirt.  Something Schmidt brought with him. Same as the big programs he was with did it.

Early on Romfo called a great audible on pass and changed running play where he physically repositioned the blocker. We can listen to what his coaches and teammates say or we can listen to the handful of pissants, who if they even ever played the game (doubtful), never learned to appreciate their teammates especially the backups. He got to his reads quickly and got rid of the ball quickly. He completed 3 of 6 with 2 drops. He hasn’t played meaningful minutes at QB in over a year, but didn’t get rattled.
I hope Kaminski recovers quickly, and can play next week, but it’s good to know we have an experienced QB who his teammates and coaches have confidence in.  We moved the ball effectively at a crucial juncture in the game.  I don’t care who the QB is as long as they play well and do their part to lead this team to another win.

Those first few audibles by Romfo made for a couple of easy pitch and catch plays.  Nothing fancy but he set us up for some important yards and first downs.

Masterful rope a dope coaching by Isaac. 😂

Hold Ziebarth on the sidelines until the UND fans are ready to storm the sidelines with pitchforks and axes about play calling and then put Z out there like trump card and start doing what everyone has been begging for for weeks.

The first couple of runs by Z was like watching Popeye eat some spinach for the offense. Suddenly everyone had more confidence and strength.

Keep thinking we might have won a couple more games if Z had been available all year.  Both SU's were in play with a couple short yardage conversions.

Well, Jerry has missed open guys like crazy the last 5 games. I can’t blame the coaches for that. A qb has to be able to make certain throws and Jerry short arms half of them. It’s tough to watch.

And it's a new phenomenon in second half of the season.  He was very good early on.  It does seem like confidence might be a big part of it.

No one exactly knows what the future holds, but can’t afford what happened 20 years ago to happen again.

Need to be prepared to act regardless of what presents itself. Need to move up with regional rivals when the opportunity arises. FCS playoffs won’t mean anything if NDSU and SDSU and Montanas aren’t in it. Also, there’s no guarantee that a new subdivision isn’t formed in the future (G5 plus top FCS programs) that still features playoffs.

All in all, UND and its boosters and supporters cannot afford to be closed-minded … at all.

If, and that’s a big if, all of those things happen I’d be on board and we should be ready to move.
    - NDSU, SDSU, Montana St, Montana all move up

    - new subdivision formed that has playoffs. This has been talked about since Lennon was coaching UND. It was part of the justification for not moving up.  The theory was that a new subdivision was coming so we’d wait for that to shake out first. 25 years later and I don’t think we are any closer to that happening. Haven’t heard anything recently about it.
Like I said, I was wrong last time so probably wrong again. just don’t see the appeal and where the money would come from

Need to expand the booster base or consequences will be detrimental. UND needs to think bigger. Evidenced by comments on this board, the idea that UND can’t or shouldn’t compete with current “FBS” programs (namely G6 programs) is far too prevalent and needs to be worked around by “leadership”.

No snark here at all but I truly don't understand the attraction to playing with hopes to get to a low level bowl game. I'd much rather play in the FCS playoffs.

I have visions of something like the 2024 Cricket Celebration Bowl (Jackson St vs. South Carolina St) or the Myrtle Beach Bowl (Coastal Carolina vs. UTSA) if you even make a bowl.

Help me understand what I'm not getting.

There will always be a school willing to move up.  Maybe it’s an old NCC school but if we aren’t going to invest in those sports, why does it matter?  Attendance will always be the same.

For the remaining Summit schools, any additional money NDSU gets from FBS football will filter to these Olympic sports   You are also competing for fans across the state, why make that easy

The approach from the school needs to be you are competing for students.  NDSU isn’t going to do any favors so why make it financially easier?

Not sure there will be extra money after expenses to filter down. Entry fee to move up is $5 million up front and costs can only be higher.

No.  Much rather them stay FCS and get better than them.

Also it they move up we probably need to also.  FBS football does nothing for me.  My UND interest would severely drop.  Unless FBS splits into 2 totally different divisions and both have a playoff system.  No thanks.

I am anti moving up to FBS too.  I don't see the attraction of more far flung teams and games and maybe a low rung bowl game if you're lucky.  I like where we are now with the ability to drive to a couple road games a year if want to. If FBS was to split that would be a different story.

I do have to admit that I was against moving to I-AA when the SU's did and I was completely wrong on that so my opinion isn't worth much.

Yeah, remember when Hromadka had himself a game?  What about Caden Dennis (he's taken some lumps on SS, but he had a good game earlier, too)?  And Deng Deng proved very effective last week.  Now that Ziebarth is back, maybe we can amp up both the run and passing game.  Realistically, good teams should be able to cover 80 yards in 7-10 plays, before you risk something adverse. You can't do that without some chunks.  Yeah, our RBs may break into the secondary every once in a while, but ultimately you need a balanced attack, with the 10-20 yard pass plays giving you 1st & 10 as you march down the field.

Is Hromadka hurt?  I think I saw #84 jersey on a guy in street clothes on the sideline Saturday.
