I guess we just disagree on where the special teams coach makes a difference. I was place kicker for UND for 3 years. The special teams coach had zero impact on whether or not I made a fg/pat other than choosing the holder and snapper - which was critical. Recruiting didn't factor in either as I was a walk on and beat out 3 different recruited kickers win and keep the job. Where they do affect the game is with designing and teaching schemes for protecting for kicks and punts, kick and punt coverage, kick and punt returns and punt block. Today we had game changing plays with a kick return and punt block. We also covered kicks and punts well so the special teams coach had a great day.

Same page them. Kicking game is a little shaky but hoping for the best.
