Nice to see Mismash score, JK continue his run and stay hot as well as Adams continue his play. Hopefully, Hain scores tomorrow. Would love to see him start getting a few goals and get that trend going. Anyone in attendance, how’d you asses Bast’s play against a college hockey team again?

Pinto had a really good World Juniors despite the loss today to Finland. Had more points in the WJC than Brock B. did I believe. Future looks bright for him and his NHL career. Might not score as much as Brock in the NHL (he could) but see him as a potential very good Patrice Bergeron type player. Has more speed than P. Bergeron and Brock too. UND is lucky to have Pinto. Looking forward to watching him at UND for at least one more year. 3 if UND is lucky.

Pretty simple on Pinto. Give him a choice. If he wants to sit out Friday and play Saturday. If neither, UND will be just fine beating UAH. Rest isn't a bad thing. However, he'll miss out on some stats probably. Team first though.

This series is good to get back into things and gear up for the 2nd half. Get Thome some playing time. Maybe give him 1 whole game on Friday and he and Scheel can split the game on Saturday. This is the right opponent to split playing time for both goalies in 1 or both games. In addition, be nice to get Mishmash scoring some more goals this weekend, toss in Hain, Bast too. What else am I missing?

Not Grand Forks, but Fargo related, tried Bird Brew (chicken place) in Fargo over the weekend. Very good and fun place. Anyone try? Chicken sandwiches this day and age are selling more than burgers. Places like Chick-fil-A etc. are striving. Bird Brew is more of order and sit down place. Not fast food, more fast causal.

Anyone know the annoying kickoff song Nicolas St. had? Interested in the name of the song. Gosh, that was annoying.

Pinto very likely to be gone after 2 years. Be huge if he stayed 3. Big body, good speed (a work in progress) and protects the puck very well. Better win a Natty with him this year or next.

Great story and awesome podcast! They had Scott Darling on for the second time a few weeks back. He wished in hindsight maybe he should have chosen North Dakota over Maine. That would have been interesting if he was at UND. He got the boot at Maine in his day, I believe.

Great college hockey game. Why is Denver good every year? Much respect for that program. Carle looked awfully disappointed at the end of the game. He knows NoDak is a premiere team/program. Must hate losing to the guys in green. Pinto and Mismash need to bury. Solid game, gotta pop one in. Not sure what Zack Yon brings to the table. Keane is better in every way and only has 2 years left. Get him on the 4th line or extra forward.

I didn't watch last Saturday's game but did see the highlights. Judd made a nice play on that last goal. Moving forward with his size /skill, I would hope/think he'd be in the lineup. I can't imagine him sitting a ton this year... but I'm not the coaching staff. Not sure what their plan is.

I see that the NCHC tv app has changed providers on the backend. Used to be Neulion and now this year is Sidearm Sports? Anyone have information on this? Not sure if this is a good or bad thing moving forward.

Be nice if Mismash had a solid year. Weatherby could be a sleeper for production. Has size and skill. Just need at least “1” of the freshman to be a goal scorer as a freshie. Hopefully it happens.

Team can’t be any worse than last year. Only progression and trending up. D-Core should be solid. Peski will play a role and who knows maybe Frisch develops throughout the year to add something to impact the team at some point. Goalies - Scheel is the real deal. Give Thome some games. Scoring? TBD

Schlossman should just leave the Herald and be the first college hockey writer on The Athletic. I'm sure the company would be willing to pay Brad. He could also cover some other interesting sports and/or sport topics etc.
