I agree 100%. Find a new goal song and don't copy the Chicago Blackhawks. Create your own unique experience. And yes, let's bury this song it has played out. I know that will upset a lot of older ticket holders at the rink though. Screw it, they don't run the music system.

That elitist culture (regardless of Red River) occurs way more at colleges, your professional network, companies/jobs etc. on golf courses, hockey rinks, the grocery store you shop at. Not funny at all. Those “3” logos were all tremendous. The Geometric logo did not face the current bashing of The Fighting Hawks logo. A good analogy, you’re comparing an amazing pro or college logo to a dumpster fire elementary school logo. Best way I can describe today. Ha!! With that said, I don’t understand your witty remarks.

Pro teams periodically update their logo. Why can’t the current Fighting Hawks logo get an upgrade 2-3 years from now? Dumb idea? God forbid, we spend another $50K on a “new” design. $50K for the current logo. $2K for the BB Sioux logo. 2018, gawd, what a time to be alive!

Look, I don’t mind the Fighting Hawks name. I’m fine with it. I would like to see a “new” Fighting Hawk logo in a few years. That’s all. Look at the business side of things. That’s what truly counts. Merchandise sales are down. UND alumnus donations are down. Football team had a brutal year. Home hockey games continue to see a reduction of fans (I know that’s not logo related). I’m just looking forward to UND to redeem what has been lost in this circus act phase of a transition. Bottom line, we’re talking $$$. But what do I know?

Pretty petty or pretty genius? He did the University a tremendous act of kindness by taking $2K for the Sioux logo ONLY at the time years back. He put the “ALL” sport programs that honor the logo ahead of his artist talent and money. That was highway robbery back then! Let him do what he wants. And have UND do the “right thing.”l My 2 cents obviously if anyone cares. Just saying.

It reminds me of all the lunatic rappers these days with face tattoos spewing out garbage regarding prescritpion drugs etc. Rap music in 2018 these days! Good grief! 2Pac is rolling over in his grave... *Final comment, my own opionion, what would this logo look like with a more roudned beak? I’m super curious. If you have some free time over this holiday week, would love to see those edits.

Typo

What?! It’s November. There’s a lot of parity in college hockey these days in 2018. UND plays in the NCHC conference, the toughest conference in college hockey. A typical weekend NCHC split for a series is usually good enough. A sweep is an added bonus. Don’t forget, the last 3 NCAA champions were all NCHC teams. *AND last years NCAA Champion, Duluth “barely” made it into the NCAA tournament.

Relax. Wow. WM scored a goal off a skate to beat UND. UNDs biggest competition is themselves. They couldn’t score. UND had some great scoring chances. Just didn’t bury the biscuit. Kudos to the WM goalie too. Moving forward. Learn from the experience, win tomorrow night. Better to lose and play well (despite not scoring) now than come March/April Offense will come. Too much talent on the UND squad. Be patient. Not worried, yet... L
