You'd have a dove?
-
New Hampshire one and done on home turf. Colgate 27 UNH 20 your final.
-
Right wrong or indifferent...SUU winning the league did not help matters on selection day.
-
Yeah, they have "scary amounts of data". Maybe enough data to consider an objective system, like hockey does? I would've grilled the guy.
-
Not really. Just would have been easier to put Wilson in more of a box, with not one objective data point to turn to. At the end of the day they can point to the Idaho State loss, which arguably was the worst loss of any team under consideration.
-
Neither Michaels nor Schlossman asked. Disappointing.
-
I know right? Total smoke filled room bush league D-2 BS. The 4th place Sun Belt representative at the Kohler Toilet Bowl sounds pretty attractive compared to this right now.
-
If they'd taken Towson over UNH I'd totally get it. Don't have to completely agree with it, but at least understand it. Why isn't this question being asked?
-
Explain New Hampshire's selection to the group please.

http://www.gobison.com/schedule.aspx?schedule=47&path=football http://siouxsports.com/football/schedule/und/ The resumes are quite similar.
-
The Idaho State loss was a killer, no question. I thought the road win at Poly with style points would get UND through.
-
That's what they should come out and say, like the FBS committee does.
-
He can't. UNH got in at #40.
-
59-7 in Fargo wasn't a bad loss I guess? Not according to Wilson. WIU didn't have any bad losses. Yeah, this one bothers me as well.
-
You can look at that schedule and make a decent case. http://espn.go.com/college-football/team/schedule/_/id/2197/eastern-illinois-panthers
-
Yes! That's the more difficult box to get out of!
-
7 wins each, EIU>UND in the SRS, no head-to-head, no common opponents, case closed.
-
Here's the thing, aren't quality wins and bad losses inherently built into the SRS? The more I think about it, set the threshold at 7, go down the list, open it up to the top 6 W teams if necessary, and call it a day.
-
He at least has a data point to lean on with EIU. UNH is the question nobody is asking.
-
His poor communication skills tipped off that he was a FU guy.
-
First caller, what I presume to be some crybaby FU fan re: MVFC on one side of the bracket.
-
Dialed it in, SONOS+TUNEIN radio rules!

For giggles let's say SRS was the system. http://www.ncaa.com/rankings/football/fcs/simple-ratings-system The only at-large that would have changed is Western Carolina in, New Hampshire out. UND down the list behind UNA, Towson, a few others. Interestingly, this isn't the first time UNH has defied the numbers in getting selected. If I were Towson I'd be royally pissed also. http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/wire?section=ncf&id=14199098 Furthermore, say they made 7 DI wins a formal requirement and then followed the SRS objectively, Towson and North Dakota get in, New Hampshire and Western Illinois stay home, which seems about right to me. Not sure how EIU ranks that high in SRS, that still bugs me a bit...

You know it's egregious when Caillou is up in arms!

Vince has great sources, you don't have any. gfhockey = no information.
