  1. Fundraising for athletics typically falls under the perview of the AD. It clearly did not, in this particular transaction. At least reading between the lines, it didn't.
  2. I think this is a good Bingo.
  3. Agreed. One of the strangest press releases I've read in a long time. Glad to Hak and staff locked up!
  4. First of all, great news! Congratulations to all parties concerned for getting this done. Now let's drop the puck. On a side note, did anyone else find the gushing over Harmeson a bit odd? This was likely fed to Hakstol via the PR department, so he's not who I'm raising my eyebrow about.
  5. Some of your best work yet. Thanks for sharing their perspective with us.
  6. Here are the hostile mascots: http://americasbestonline.net/index.php/pa...ascotslive.html Uga, Handsome Dan, and Jack would be better off at the zoo? That made me laugh out loud.
  7. False alarm, Mo Holland is listed as the starter as of Tuesday.
  8. The latest Bronco depth chart has Kuper starting at RG over Holland. http://www.denverbroncos.com/page.php?id=134
  9. A couple of observations: 1. Many of the posters expressing concern are closer to the situation than most. By brushing off their comments, you are burying your head in the sand. 2. What do you expect Hakstol or Buning to say when asked? 3. Buning seems great on a social level, I have no idea as to his abilities as an AD...I'm in the neutral camp. 4. Even if this did get botched, we are in a lame-duck leadership situation at the top, so don't expect any heads to roll.
  10. Will Tebow be learning the whole playbook this season, or will it be the quarterback draw every down? Never saw anyone stop it last year.
  11. Is it common for universities to promote the provost/academic affairs VP from within? From what little research I've done, it looks like the answer is no. Not sure why, or even if that assumption is true.
  12. Thanks for putting this together! Very nice!
  13. I absolutely agree with this. The wrench in the works are the white anglo bureaucrats at the "model" schools such as Wisconsin, Iowa, and UMTC. If they continue to mandate to their AD's to not schedule us, do we stay the course? My opinion is yes, but it's worth debating.
  14. Debt service for the REA retrofit immediately comes to mind.
  15. What "treatment"? If there's another University that offers as much to the Native American community IN THE COUNTRY, I'd like to see who it is? The gap between "perception" and reality is what gets my blood boiling on this one. This flip-flop further empowers the white anglo bureaucrats.

  17. Who is doing the show? And don't tell me Pat Sweeney, either.
  18. Here come the Lee cheerleaders. Is it so awful that there are some Sioux fans that characterize his career here as a disappointment? Personally, I don't think he lived up to what we should expect of a number 9 overall, but I'm no expert.
  19. And Fienhage and Gleason at D, very interesting indeed. Breaking through at Holy Angels seems like a big deal in my book.
  20. The spin control from the Gopher faithful will be very entertaining!
  21. If the announcements are in regard to the lawsuit, I'll give credit where credit is due. I think he's handled the matter with the NCAA very well. Let's wait and see. My other guess would be large financial gifts? It seems to me that Tim and his team are the ones carrying the mail there, but I don't see what goes on behind the scenes.
  22. Since you bring up Strat Plan II, let's talk how we're doing on fall enrollment relative to that plan. http://www.und.edu/stratplan/tables.html#9 Looks woefully short to me. Let's just take a step back and be objective for a change. On Kupchella's and Chapman's watch, NDSU has grown faster than UND, period. The constant pom-pom waving for Kupchella doesn't do anything to help matters.
  23. This was an interesting look back: http://www.und.nodak.edu/dept/our/dimensions/november2004/
