You're in Grand Forks? I think the whole "cost of living" argument is way overblown (check your property tax bill). If you're in Inkster or Minto, then yes, otherwise, I really don't see a significant difference between the suburban Metro or Fargo-Moorhead or the Grand Cities.

This seemed strange to me, too. The fact that Pat Behrns was there, and Tom Buning was not, is down right weird.

Do we really know that for sure? Intentional leaks of information happen all of the time. Not to say that's what this was, but who is to say it wasn't? As to the debating of job performance, ask any of the coaches. They'd likely prefer no online discussion, but that's not reality in today's world.

To the folks that have certain contacts, additional insight, or are otherwise privy to information not known to the general public, I say KEEP POSTING PLEASE! It's what makes this message board interesting to visit. Count me in the "where there's smoke there's fire" camp. He's great before, during, and after the games with people, but this latest close-call with Lennon, along with some of things I'm reading regarding the relationship with Hakstol and others, has me convinced that something's wrong.

There is some speculation on the MSU board that Fields just flat out likes Lennon better for the job, and that MVD's withdrawal is a way for everyone to "save a little face". Makes some sense... Anyway, I think Lennon is gone.
