  1. Agreed, but many on campus would approve of a statue in his honor. I would donate for some pigeons if that happened.
  2. Nope legit question, he belongs to Champions Club, he wants to know if you do.
  3. Is there any truth to the theory that if The Ralph stopped upgrading things there could be more money for upgrading football and basketball, including staff salaries? Asking for a friend.
  4. Quite the leap from one year as a Volunteer Video Coach to Assistant Head Coach at a DII school.
  5. Who gets to define "nailing it"?
  6. Wish him well - he had a tough transition to work through, also his style was a little different, the constant pacing on the sidelines made me twitch. Also tough to follow Rich Glas's personality.
  7. Well any helicopter SU fan that frequents here will tell you its ANY OL that Moo U signs.
  8. Good stuff for the Herald story that must be in the works.
  9. Well UND has a new track coach and it's a woman. With SU naming a male as WBB coach does that mean that UND has more female coaches than NDSU? Certainly that merits a story.
  10. For those this is true about it says more about them than HH.
  11. Why is Heidi getting bashed when it was a simple thought thrown out in the media. No offer has been made, it was just a thought? Can't the politics wait until it becomes something?
  12. Come on you guys - it was meant to be "tongue in cheek" if you want a coach to move on you build him up and gnash your teeth in public - there goes the secret.
  13. Sigh, sent you a PM to clarify.
  14. Sorry you didn't get my message - I'm saying we have to post positive stuff about Jones if we want him gone. You can bet that those who are vetting him for a job will have someone do online research and they will eventually find this board. I realize in reality what is said here will have little impact on his job prospects so it was somewhat tongue in cheek as well.

Thanks for the note.  I don't disagree with your thoughts regarding negative posts on sites like this.  I know that many prospects do check out these sites and some are affected by what they read.

I would be pleasantly surprised if another school/coach has actively approached him about moving to their program.  I know he is under pressure here and he may be actively looking for another position.

It will be interesting whether there is anything to this rumor.

      Thx

  15. Okay, let's not pull a Kennedy and bash him in social media. Losing Jones would be tough on our program. He is a great recruiter and the players relate to him. He took UND to the next level and deserves to take the step to the next level. We would miss him but would also wish him well.
  16. Waiting for a story on the number of female coaches at SU.

    2019 Season

Listen to this week's podcast, they talked more about international soccer than UND football.

    Spring Ball

What about "improving the fan experience", there was decent fan participation when UND made it an event, definitely something they could build on. Now it is nothing, holding it on a Friday almost makes it seem they don't want people to come. Chaves needs to step in.
  19. Some people just don't know when to shut up - he was more than half way out the door and then someone had to screw it up (I guess it could have been him with his post). Perhaps we need some glowing posts and pleading for him to not leave to show up on social media.
  20. Some people just interview well - sarcasm. The ND Board of Education is very dysfunctional and proven that hiring high level positions by a disconnected committee doesn't work.

    Spring Ball

It is still disappointing that UND does not have the will to make the final spring ball scrimmage more of an event for the fans. It must be intentionally since other schools have figured it out. Lost opportunity.
  22. Too bad they didn't dig a little deeper for the rest of Gino's story - after four years of school his having to pass 16 credits in a summer to graduate doesn't seem like someone who is interested in a graduate program.
