Isn't it fun to win these "meaningless" games? As the UND coaches say you haven't beat the bison until you do it on their home court - that hasn't been that difficult. Comparative scores say FU should have won - guess that's why they play the game and why there won't be a UND-FU football game anytime soon. They can't take that chance. Of course... It meant more to UND It was UND's superbowl UND had more to play for then FU It's a meaningless game But football

Hey it's the trolls job to monitor our postings and correct them. SDSU may have won the last meeting but we had that great last second win in Brookings (I believe the year before) that even shut their band up

Yes it was stated in the press that while the NCAA does not want UND to use the Sioux logo or name they want UND to protect it so that no one else can use it. Discussion were on creating a retro shirt once a year and selling it, etc.

Also then they would have to change the name of The Dakota Three or whatever the imaginary footbal Triangle of Terror is.(of which UND owns a winning football record over all three)

UND has to protect the logo, it doesn't make them bad, it's the way copyright laws work - same reason Disney has to shut down daycares that use Disney icons without permission. If you don't protect it in all instances you lose control of it.

As history has shown when two teams have a traveling trophy the only team that feels the trophy should be up for grabs during the playoffs is the team that lost it during the regular season. With many traveling trophies the winner is awarded the trophy for the year based on the regular season game.

I highly doubt that logo is legal and would guess they will be receiving a letter very soon - Trust me I know. Regarding the power of the Sioux nickname I wore my Sioux Forever shirt around Alexandria, MN last week and was asked by several people where I got it - that was an easy answer.

I think su should "petition" the NCAA about their "hosing". Gonna root for the Big Sky all the way and an early exit for the Thundering Convicts.

I wasn't pumping my chest - just sayin we had a couple of good wins this year for our first year out of transition. If you are trying to make me feel bad about this season and this team it is not going to happen and it has nothing to do with lowered expectations. I'm guessing this team must have set the record for most offensive plays of more than 20 yards. I enjoyed this season - it's not going to end with any championship but if you are looking for reasons to enjoy a season you can find them, if you are looking for reasons to be disappointed in a season you can find them. Sorry but I have to say it again - it's a game, they're student athletes, I applaud their ability to go to college and play a sport at the same time (oh and stay off the police blotter.)

Based on what I saw I disagree that this team was good enough to make the playoffs this year.

Not meaning to be adversarial - our first year out of transition, which made recruiting a little challenging, pre-season projections had us around 5-6th or lower in Big Sky. Very tough losses to Big Sky power houses (playoffs will tell). Of course I hate losing by 30+ points but what were your expectations for this season that makes you say it was a disappointment?

Two teams receiving votes that UND beat - we can feel pretty good about that.

In the past all fans have been invited to the SCSU Center Line Club pre-game social. Don't think that has changed - it's at Brothers Pub in downtown St. Cloud Saturday at 4:00.

Wow - 5 straight home games - that could be tough on the liver.

Dave Is the SCSU pre-game social on for Saturday - I think I heard the location where they meet has changed?

Actually the SCSU Booster Club is very welcoming. Sioux fans are invited to their pre-game social usually Saturday afternoon - need to check their website for time and location - it's called the Center Ice Club I believe. Have a little empathy they don't have the facility, the history or the recruiting muscle that UND has. They are a perpetual center dweller and probably worse in the new conference.

Might have been - I'm not great on numbers, since it was a kick-off my memory said Hardin.

I pointed out a couple of intelligent plays to my daughter: 1. Greg Harden lets the kick off roll out of bounds rather than pick it up at the 12 yard line. The penalty put the ball at the 40, we went on to score, quite often you will see players panic and pick up the ball in that situation. 2. The last play of the game our defenseman whacks the ball to the ground rather than trying to intercept it. He would have gotten the interception stat but the smart play was to end the game with no risk.

Okay just to be clear, no one in this discussion actually believes that this is going anywhere or is in anyway productive - correct. And it has been stated it is probably damaging to recruiting. Yes, you are allowed your opinion and you are allowed to share it. I am also allowed mine. I have to ask how so many geniuses here think they know so much about the coaching staff's methods of motivation, what is said in the locker, their psyche, what they are coaching, etc. At the end of the day it's still the players that have to execute, so then the discussion becomes the staff is doing a bad job at recruiting - really - what are the crictics here credentials on recruiting - I'm thinking it's an inexact science. I'm also thinking the past four years we've actually done pretty well on recruiting quality athletes that for the most part stay out of trouble - not all, but most. Then there are the trolls and the immature twenty-somethings that still talk and think like high schoolers. They love it that this thread is alive because they have no real loyalty to UND. Hey - guess what, what you think will have no impact on if or when any part of the coaching staff changes. But if it makes you feel good to trash our coaches and players annonymously I guess you found the place. Call me old school but I think we have much better and enjoyable topics to discuss than this.

Aren't we around #35 in attendance in our first year out of transition?

I think someone needs to contact the fire marshall if this information is correct that can't be safe for evacuating the building when the hay stacks are accidently started on fire by the fireworks.
