Being one of the "Teams to beat" fits that goal I believe. Every year in the NCC the expectation was to win the conference and make the play-offs, I think UND adminstriation and staff has shown they are committed to making that a regular expectation once the dust has settle from the transition. I am positive it is part of every recruiting conversation.

Yup, the key word is "A" team to beat every year. In the last five years of the NCC the perennial teams to beat every year were UNO, UND and SDSU. Beat two out of three and you were going to the playoffs.

Hey BD - this is a UND Fan Board on "Fan Boards" FANS of the team like to chat about "What ifs" and "What do you think about". We don't need a Troll Monitor to question every thing we post - sometimes it's just for fun because we are FANS of the team and school. Topics we post about are not always possible, probable or persuable - it's just for fun because we are FANS of the team/school. We don't need any big brother trolls to stop discussions. Geez you guys really can't get over us can you? Get counseling.

Let's see the topic is 2012 Recruiting on a UND Fan Board - yah I guess we're looking to read about su recruits in this thread. It's sad that you find trolling to be fun.

Great another one for the "Ignore" button - thanks for your interest in Sioux Sports, I think with a little effort you could find a swille place that cares.

Let's just not become one of the "Those" boards that rips high school kids. We know UND offers a quality education, is a quality higher education institution, has a football program with great facilities, high standards and a stalwart history. We welcome the best and we welcome those that want to be a part of something special.

There's always "Merit" scholarships that can be found. He's been on campus and met some team mates so he's made some connections.

We/UND knew it would be hard to keep fan interest during the transition. Weak schedule - been discussed Lack of control of schedule - one year the first home game wasn't until deep into September, other times there were 2-3 weeks between games, that is what happens when you have to put together an independent/5 team comference schedule. Cost of tailgating: the price for lots keeps going up, combined with the above two issues people find something else to do. It would be nice if they allowed fans to tailgate a few hours after the games so we could bond more and discuss games. If concern about overdrinking is the reason I think we are adults and know the cost of a DUI (other schools allow it). As far as the students - tough to stick up for them - free transportation, free food, free entertainment, the excuse that they can't walk to games is weak. (I think they will come back once the buzz returns). I think the interest will build and football will become the Saturday destination again - not as big as down south but UND football isn't the only game in town so the fans have to choose how to spend their sport dollars and more choose hockey.

Nice that all these su trolls are able to spend time here and keep our conversations about the Flag Ship University of North Dakota on the straight and narrow.
-
Hopefully this one hasn't been done: Buy or Sell: UND has more post-season all conference football members than it had pre-season members (1) (Okay in my mind that is an easy Buy) Buy or Sell: UND has more than 4 post-season all conference football members

As was tradition, UND was the better team that year and for a majority of years the two teams played, including the last 10 years and the final game between the two teams.
-
You're joking right because the phrase "We've moved on" gets brought up bu su trolls everytime the mere mention of su playing UND comes up. Yah might jab at su once in awhile but It's hard not to mention it with so many trolls posting here every day.

Lots of schools have more than one rivalry - I'm sure we are all aware of the Minnesota/Iowa and the Minnesota/Wisconsin rivalries - more like hammer and nail but still a rivalry. Again su revisionists will spin the Mile Marker to their liking but when it was introduced it was "Because SDSU is now our #1 rival" and "We've moved on".
-
Perhaps there was some mix-ups on the schools
-
That would be nice but I'm thinking they won't play it because it would just perpetuate cheering Sioux.
-
Notice the background song was not a school song - are there any school songs that don't have Sioux in the name or will we never hear them again?
-
Just another reason to start a thread about UND on bisonswille and continuing having to compare themselves to a school they've left behind and have no interest in.
-
Read alll the post-signing coverage in Thursdays Minneapolis StarTribune, lots of columns, lots of pages - found one mention that he attended UND, it was in a timeline of his career. Quite obvious that attending UND was not something the Minnesota sports writers want to acknowledge.
-
Welcome to the University of North Dakota gentlemen - have fun, play hard and get a great education. We can't wait for you to take that first walk down tailgating lane!
-
Thanks for the insights on our coaching situation and your continued interest and fixation on UND sports.
-
I think we've seen what happens when a program stops caring about charactor and makes it all about winning - they go "south" really quickly.

How about Quality Educational Institution?

We forget when su was in the GWC it was a powerful football conference, a crime that the NCAA did not change the rules and allow the conference champ into the playoffs, once they left everything changed.
