Politically, I'm pretty liberal but even I have to roll my eyes at things that come out of Boulder sometimes. Yup, for years Boulder has been called the "Peoples Republic of Boulder".

North Dakota is a very conservative State. Colorado, not so much. We all know that. Colorado has become even more liberal over the years I've been here. This is from a fairly liberal media source out of Boulder. Not shocking that they already hate Kennedy. I would suspect that if he gets the job at CU, the Boulder folks could be extremely hostile toward him You have to remember that CU Denver combined with CU Colorado Springs have roughly the same enrollment as CU Boulder. These east coast announcers made me cheer on Denver.

CU is controlled by a board of regents. Don't be surprised that they picked a Republican to run their school. It's not the University of Boulder. (If that was the case, he would never be their president.) Hank Brown, a former Republican senator from Colorado was their president after a stint as president of UNC in Greeley. Personally, I think Kennedy won't last at CU and as a Coloradoan, I think it was a bad choice. At least he appears to be gone from UND.

Agree. As a Wyomimg alum also, they love him and he loves it there. He still makes about 5x what he did at NDSU. I doubt he has any regrets. Go Pokes! I also hope Coach K does great at K State. Basically, I'd like to see a challenge to Oklahoma other than those d@$# Longhorns. I'd also like to see a home and home between Wyoming and K State. They have a way of getting that done in Laramie with Power 5 schools.

Colleges and universities value reflecting the communities, areas and states they represent. Minorities are underrepresented in most post secondary institutions. They are attempting to be inclusive to both better represent the diversity of the population they represent and to strenghten the school with diverse groups that bring in different ideas and values. This is a good thing. I'm not shocked that the SS folks may feel threatened. Not at all...

I don't want to get rid of football. My point is that football does lose a lot of money every year for UND. With that in mind what is the real reason that women's hockey was cut? And yes we did tailgate and we had a great time. Although I have to admit Pokes football is lot more fun to go to now than it was that year. LOL
