Wrong. Tennessee State was a good opportunity if he wanted to advance his career, but Iowa State approached him about an even better opportunity. Eddie George, the head coach of Tennessee State, told Tyler that this was an opportunity that he could not pass up. Rumor has it that he will make more at Iowa State than the head coach of NDSU.

Tyler Roehl got hired to be the associate head coach and running backs coach at Iowa State. I'm not a Bison fan, but Tyler is a great guy and this is a great opportunity for him.

I don't disagree, but that really didn't happen until about 3 minutes left in the 2nd period. UND was winning 2-1, but had possession of the puck most of the game and the shots were 35 to 10 (and an even greater margin for shot attempts) when CC tied it on a questionable goal. Don't discount goaltending or the lack of good goaltending. Persson made exactly one tough save all night (right before the tying goal), but was fighting the puck all night and leaving rebounds. It appears that the CC goal that tied it at 2-2 deflated the team and gave all of the momentum to CC. Persson was not good either night this weekend, and was not good in either Friday night game against Miami. UND needs more consistency from the goalie, and they are not getting it right now. Persson's save % is below 90%, which is not good for a college goaltender. He can be very good and won some games for UND early, but lately he is a question mark. He never had a save % above 90% at Miami, but everyone made excuses that it was the team in front of him. The eyes don't lie and he is not a difference maker at this point. I hope that Hedquist gets at least one start this weekend until Persson gets his confidence back. IMHO, goaltending is once again the biggest issue facing this team. It has to be better to win 2-1 and 3-2 games against teams that trap like CC, Duluth and Notre Dame.

Close save % is at .926 and Persson at .907. -
Statistics for the year according to NFL.com: Jared Goff 4575 yards 67.3 completion % 30 TDs 12 INTs 97.9 passer rating Jordan Love 4159 yards 64.2 completion % 32 TDs 11 INTs 96.1 passer rating Goff also beat the Buccaneers, Broncos, Raiders, Falcons--all teams that Love lost to. Goff did split with the Bears and the Packers swept the Bears, but otherwise, Goff had a better year. I don't know about the random last 9 games that you cherry picked, but Goff is better than Love in almost every statistical category. This is the same Goff that some Bison rubes on this board thought was worse than Wentz (those are the most delusional fans, although Packers fans and Bison fans seem to overlap). I hope and pray that the Lions get to play the Packers again.
-
Really? Another delusional Packer fan who is drinking the puke green and p8*$% yellow kool-aid. In week 14 against the powerhouse Giants, Love was 25/39 for 218 years and 1 TD and I INT in a loss. The next week, the FudgePackers got boatraced by Tampa Bay at home. If the Packers are fortunate enough to get by the 49ers (which is very unlikely), they get the chance to get steamrolled by the Lions again. They won't catch the Lions sleeping again like Thanksgiving. It will be similar to the last 2 times in Green Bay. The FudgePackers are not even the best team in the North.

Add Jonathan Toews. Michael Jordan was famously shown wearing his jersey. I doubt any athletes from other sports have ever worn a Carson Wentz jersey or any of the other practice squad players from NDSU. Hockey is also much bigger internationally than football, so hockey players are known not only in Canada and the US, but Russia, Sweden, and other European countries.
-
You always start with the false narrative that "football is more popular than hockey". FBS football in the P5 conferences ONLY may be more popular than hockey, but FCS football is not anywhere close to being more popular than D1 hockey. UND is in the black in one sport and that is hockey. UND makes more from hockey than NDSU makes from football, and NDSU has dominated FCS football for over a decade. Keep telling yourself otherwise.

Agreed. Most sane people on this board appreciate you and Schloss.

How dare you besmirch the name of one of the best rock bands?

Not surprising since you are the same person posting under at least 3 different accounts.

Bemidji is like watching paint dry. They trap and try to keep the score low so that they can steal a tie or win late. It is brutal hockey to watch. Jacques Lemaire style hockey.
-
How does that crow taste, despite the fact that you are still in denial? It is a split because it goes as a win on UND's record and a loss on BU's record. Additionally, we get at least 67% credit for the "win", whether you choose to call it that or not.

James should be in the top 6. He has a great shot as shown last year against Omaha. Give him time. He has a lot of talent.
