I agree 100%. I know Matt very well, and you will not find a harder working, classier person who did everything right on and off the ice to make himself an exceptional hockey player. His son Brooks reminds me of Matt. He will be a very solid college hockey player with the potential of becoming exceptional because of his work ethic, size and hockey sense. At worst, you will have a very good defensive hockey player who wins draws.

You missed the point completely. You reacted to a thread where persons said they don't respect Omaha and don't consider them a rival. The games might be tight this weekend, but even if Omaha sweeps, the opinion of Omaha will not change. They are not a rival and we don't respect them. You are also being intellectually dishonest because everyone knows that you are an Omaha fan but for some reason won't admit it and pretend to be a UND fan under the guise that your wife is an Omaha fan.

We get it--you're a fan of Omaha and want UND fans to like and respect Omaha. You are wasting your time because most UND fans neither like nor respect Omaha. It is similar to Merrimack fans telling BC and BU fans that because we occasionally beat you, we are rivals and you should respect us. I agree with another poster who ranked Omaha just above Bemidji in terms of rivalry and excitement. We really truly don't care about Omaha or their crybaby fans.

Bemidji State is my least favorite opponent. There is nothing to gain because they are usually a pairwise killer (hovering in the low 30's or 40's), they play the trap game to perfection, which means a race to 2, and it is the ugliest hockey imaginable. I have seen others on this board complain of Mankato State, but they are nothing like BSU. Mankato plays an up tempo game typically, has more skill and the talent level is far superior. Mankato should be in the NCHC.
