  1. I have 2 lower bowl tickets in Section 105, Row K for the Gophers game. Make me an offer by sending me a PM or text me at (701) 371-0195.
  2. 2 Lower bowl tickets for sale for Army on Friday in Section 105, row K (right behind where UND shoots twice). $60 for the pair. Call or text me at (701) 371-0195.
  3. I have 2 tickets in Section 105 Row K, but I texted that number and the person said it was the wrong number. Text or call me at (701) 371-0195.
  4. Apples to oranges comparison. The Bears were at home playing in a monsoon and Lance was the starting QB for the 49ers. The Lions finished the year 8-2, including a pasting of the suddenly revitalized Jaguars, and just beat the defending Super Bowl champions in their stadium on opening night. Unlike the Bears, the Lions have already proven they are a good team.
  5. His dad was also short, but stocky. Did you ever see his dad Curtis Murphy play? If his son is anything like Curtis Murphy, he will be outstanding. Curtis Murphy is one of the best defenseman to ever play at UND. He was also a great AHL player, but didn't get much of an opportunity in the old NHL where size was considered a must.
  6. Benn also ended Dylan Larkin's season 2 years ago from a cross-check to the neck. He's a dirty player.
  7. I would add that Moore was very good the previous year, and wasn't as bad this year as some would have you believe--he became the scapegoat for everyone, despite the fact that forwards also need to defend, and goalies need to make routine stops. Moore is very good at breaking out the puck and very good offensively. Johnson is also very talented, especially offensively, but ended up in the coaches' doghouse for reasons that are not entirely clear. I like Bast, but I don't view him as a big loss.
  8. I would like to know your source for that claim. Seattle was 18-12-4 at the end of December, which is a pretty good record and a significant improvement from their inagural year as an expansion team.
  9. I agree as long as what he is saying is accurate. I recall that Rizzo initially said he was okay waiting another year, but then waited another year, decommitted and went to Denver. Morrow didn't like the coaches telling him to play a year in the USHL and neither did Stephen Halliday. As long as Strathmann is okay with it and it is his decision, it makes sense. I just really don't like losing high end recruits.
  10. I personally would like to see Andrew Strathmann come in, mostly because I don't want UND to take another chance of a recruit flipping his commitment.
  11. Why take that chance against a team that tries to win a game with a race to 2 goals? We have nothing to gain by playing them. No one has disputed my contention that playing Bemidji is like watching paint dry. I'm not saying playing them every now and again, but why every year? For historical context, Bemidji's pairwise last year was 29. It was good the 2 years before that (10 and 12), but if you go deeper they were 35 in 2018-19, 31 in 2017-18, 29 in 2016-17 and 32 in 2015-16. They are typically going to be between 29 and 35.
  12. I agree with cberkas. There is nothing to gain by playing Bemidji every year. If we lose, it is a pairwise killer because they are rarely a top 25 team. If we win, it does not help. It is always a tough game because they play the Jacques Lemaire trap style game that makes it difficult to score more than 2 goals. It is also painful hockey to watch. I already dislike the way UMD plays, but at least they have some high end skill.
  13. Rocco Grimaldi was a California kid
  14. And Denver was 10-13-1 in 2020-21 and was eliminated in the playoffs by UND.
  15. Carter Mazur of Denver signed with the Red Wings. I saw this yesterday on a Red Wings site. Brad Schlossman just confirmed.
  16. I hope not. I like him and he will be one of the leaders on D.
  17. I have 2 tickets in Section 101, Row C, Seats 5-6. I live in Fargo, and I have the tickets in my possession. I paid $244.77, and that is what I am looking for. Text or call me at (701) 371-0195.
  18. I disagree. It was a good hit and the ref reacted to the fact that he slid into the boards. Some of you have such a dislike for Cooper Moore that you have no objectivity and hope he fails so it advances your narrative
  19. Playing devil's advocate, UND has benefited from the portal. Westin Michaud, Connor Ford and Chris Jandric were very good and very necessary additions. Calder, Sidorski and Farmer have not been bad, and neither were Driscoll and DeRidder. Other schools have also done very well through the portal, and SCSU's pickup of Anhorn comes to mind. I don't think the portal is necessarily a bad thing, even though I don't like what has happened to Brent Johnson and some others.
  20. This is spot on. The argument for Michigan is similar to the argument that Minnesota actually has more titles because it won titles before the NCAA was created (and before UND was a hockey program). That is the definition of cherry picking.
  21. Omaha is not a bad team. They took 3 out of 4 from Western Michigan and Duluth, split with Denver in Denver, and split with St. Cloud and Alaska at home. They lost 2 early 1 goal games to Niagara at home early and went 1-2-1 against CC, or they might be in the tournament.
